Two Detroit teenagers were arrested Saturday in an attack on a suburban man who was brutally beaten by a mob after accidentally striking a boy with his pickup truck.
Investigators believe the 17-year-old and 16-year-old males had a direct role in the beating of Steve Utash, said Sgt. Mike Woody, a Detroit police spokesman.

I got it. White guy deliberately runs down black child and while checking to see if the child is dead the vigilanties try to exact justice on scene. So what are the clergy and city “officials” really upset about? That two teens have been caught? Detroit. Used to be a great city. Long time ago and far far away. No offense to those that still live there and love it.
Stay to help and get beaten... Leave out of fear and face felony charges...
In an interview on Detroit TV station: an African-American guy said there is NO WAY he would have stopped in that case, in that neighborhood, but would have driven to the nearest police station and reported the incident.
Laws need to be changed here in Michigan to not make it necessary to stop in a War Zone. It was truly an accident and the kid’s fault. He stepped off the curb without looking.
He didn’t hit the kid. The kid ran into the truck. He clipped the side of it.
If rich republicans had not divested in Detroit this climate of desperation would never have evolved. — me being sarcastic.

Yutes being yutes. It’s beyond their capability to control themselves. Understand that, take appropriate precautions and be prepared to DEAL with it if it happens to you and your loved ones. That includes arming yourself and getting yourself well trained in the defensive use of firearms.
Rather convent that there was a lynch mob waiting at the site of the accident.

Or, equally or more likely, the kid who dashed into traffic and hit the side of the pickup truck was coached to do it as a possible way of hitting the “liability lottery” jackpot.
Or the kid was just another low-IQ, careless creature unmindful of running into the street without looking. My take is that he had been looking—looking for an “opportunity”.

1965 Chicago, my older brother driving me through the ghetto, and warned me to avoid black kids on the side of the road, to slow way down, that their parents instructed them to run into white man cars. So I know this practice is 50 years old.
Kinda off topic. But I’ve noticed over the years, happened to me several time. Blacks would put on their blinker to turn right. You’re pulling out to turn left. They slow down. You inch forward to turn. They speed up and don’t turn.
Seem to make great sport of it. Just laugh like hell.

I haven’t noticed what you are talking about but I have noticed that blacks are more likely to refuse to let me enter the line of traffic. Looking right at me and speeding up, not smiling, just glaring.
I find that in the grocery store parking lot. As you wheel your carriage out to your car most cars will stop and let you pass. Not all. Since Obama became president I’ve noticed a big change in attitude.
I think it was probably a “liability lottery” gamble. Normally, people don’t get hurt much, but even a scratch is enough to get something from the insurer, who will pay them to go away.

One broken beer bottle by itself presents no problems and is quite harmless. However, if you see yourself approaching a grouping of broken beer bottles, divert your path and avoid that grouping.
It’s common-sense, it’s not a sign that you are “broken-beer-bottle phobic”, although some might try to paint you that way.
