Democratic members of Congress and the Obama administration have extensive ties to Comcast and Time-Warner, the two cable giants currently awaiting approval from the Federal Communications Commission on a $45 billion merger.
One that has gone mostly overlooked: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reids (D., Nev.) chief of staff, David Krone, is Comcasts former senior vice president for corporate affairs.
Krone moved from Comcast to Reids office in 2011 under ethically questionable circumstances,

He’ll help to write legislation....something his boss is incapable of doing...and ensure that Comcast is in a very fine position for years to come, with various deals coming his way. They never investigate the staff of Congressmen or senators...which is very helpful in getting such gentlemen to come over and work for such a small amount of money.
Comcast is a evil animal and should be broken up.A cable company should not own NBC -Universal .

The huge profits of the cable side allow running propaganda channels like CNN and MSNBC with little worry about them making money.

It’s been going on for centuries, but it’s worse now because DC controls so much of the country.
This is why I’ve been saying that despite people yammering on about MSNBC’s low ratings Comcast will never shut it down. Its losses are a fly spec on Comcast’s income statement and it’s a way to continue to ingratiate itself to The Regime, especially as the Time Warner acquisition requires regulatory approval.

Reid has reached the point where even though his talking points are written for him his mental state is such that he has no idea how mind numbingly stupid he sounds while he tries to read them.

I've had it with Comcast/MSNBC.
