Our government agencies have been completely politicized – every one of them. They are all working to move a leftist agenda FORWARD. Recent developments alone show the intensity of the effort from an unholy and illogical alliance between the EPA and the USDA to Fish & Wildlife seizing control over private lands.

“Startling?” How? We certainly saw it coming. Fish & Wildlife was "Sovietized" way back in the 1970s. the rest have been heading that way for years. If the states themselves weren't so divided internally, they might stand up to these sorts of attacks. States in theory are a check on the federal government's excesses.
It's too bad it isn't easy for like minded people to get together and simply form a new state, provided they are enough of them.
There are too many people in power at all levels of government that benefit from keeping the people from organizing and becoming independent of those that use and abuse them.

Others have observer that other states/regions seem to be testing-grounds for other policy-implementations — CA comes to mind where the State's own Constitution was deemed unconstitutional (though nothing in the federal Constitution prohibits the States from implementing their own civil [or criminal] laws) and the USSC declaring that the citizens of that state have no standing.
