Prayers for everyone at Ft. Hood. They defend
and protect us. The military must be able to defend
themselves with arms.

Palins comment echoes those of Rep. Mike McCaul who also said members of the military should be able to carry weapons on base.
I personally think, if youre trained for combat, you ought to be able to carry a weapon, the Texas Republican said on Fox Newss The Kelly File on Wednesday following the shooting.....

The Army needs an army! The Navy needs a navy! The Marines need marines...
What kind of weird world has this turned into.

The rule is the result of a Clinton executive order. No president has changed it since. The 4-star general who’s in charge of Fort Hood supports it because his boss in the White house supports it.

In Israel, ALL military are armed, off and on base..should be the same here..but of course the US has become wussified, people see a gun and freak out..in other countries its normal

They’re ducking their heads waiting for the left to attack guns.

It concerns me that there are some lady deputies in this area who are very quick to put a hand on their holster. And they don't seem to like men much anymore.
So, should our police agencies now consist of bobbies with nightsticks?

So, should our police agencies now consist of bobbies with nightsticks?Yep, and I wouldn't let the nightsticks be too long or heavy.
You might research why English Police (Bobbies) are traditionally unarmed, you would be surprised at the reason.
Also note that American "Police Officers" are not addressed in the Constitution and draw no authority from it, there is no Constitutional authorization for Police to carry weapons above civilians.

Troops are disarmed, while every other federal employee is packing.

Not necessary; already know.

Not in Wyoming and Arizona. Open carry is common.
