“Unexpected” is getting to be a verbal crutch with the Media. Almost a nervous tic, similar to your teenager using “Ummm” or “like” while reaching for the next word.

There is one area in which America still leads.

That is, the use of the word 'unexpectedly' in financial headlines covering bad news.

Rush should do a montage for the word, "unexpectedly" in DBM "news" reports.

Rule A: Everything negative is ‘unexpected’ or Republicans’ fault.

Rule B: Everything positive is ‘We did it. See, I told you so’

(’we’ of course, are ‘libs’ & media lapdog cheerleaders)

Ironically, nary a headline about ‘stock market reaches unexpected new highs’. That’s the plan; that’s the effect. Don’t be caught without a chair when the music stops; those playing the music hold all the cards...

rose more than expected

This is getting to be an obligitory term with the jobs reports.

Apparently the people who compile this fantasy data have no idea what to expect.

Why is it always “unexpected”? I was expecting it! Who was surprised? Why is it unexpected? Who cares?

You sound like the parrot in Aladin...

“Why am I not surprised!? Look at me... NOT being surprised!”

How can it be “unexpectedly” when it happens every week?

For years.

The major media are all on drugs, so each week it's a new "Wow....dude..."
