Romney won't run this time. He barely ran last time. And I suspect there'd be a lot of angry protestors if he tried to run again.
As for Ann, she always was erratic. It's not like she was a model of judiciousness and sagacity before she embraced Romney. Seems cruel to dump on her now.

Asked about what to do with the people here illegally, however, he stressed that he had never tried to undo the goal of allowing them to stay.
“The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.
Mr. Cruz said recent polling indicated that people outside Washington support some reform, including legal status without citizenship. He said he was against naturalization because it rewarded lawbreakers and was unfair to legal immigrants. It also perpetuates illegal crossings, he added.
Besides barring citizenship while instituting some level of legalization for those here already, Mr. Cruz has proposed increasing the number of green cards awarded annually, to 1.35 million from 675,000. He also wants to eliminate the per-country limit that he said left applicants from countries like Mexico, China and India hamstrung when they tried to gain legal entry to this country.

Yes, this from the woman who recently screeched to Hannity about those annoying people who oppose moderate Republicans.
She’s an emaciated, dried-up, spinsterish hack who made money paying lip service to conservatism. It would do her some good to get away from those leftwing “males” she prefers and find a strong conservative man, but at this point I doubt there are any who’d have her.
It seems to me that if Cruz had said anything clear on illegals, someone would have posted it on this thread by now.
Maybe Ann’s accusation will prompt him to make his views explicit on this defining issue.
My first presidential election was 1980. I voted Reagan. Then Reagan then Bush.
I held my nose for Bush in 1992 (from AR so knew Clinton was a joke) and would have preferred Buchanan (not any longer). Perot was a joke.
I backed Forbes in 1996 (I forgot to list Dole again above in ‘96 - he was the “electable one”).
I backed Forbes again in 2000 or Keyes. I didn’t trust another Bush.
In 2008 I was hoping Duncan Hunter could take off or I liked Guliani. I knew Fred Thompson wasn’t serious and only in it to help McCain fend off Hucksterabee.
In 2012 I was pushing Cain or Newt or Perry (bad primary campaign notwithstanding).
Since I live in TN I knew in both 2008 and 2012 the GOP candidate would win so I voted for a third party in both.
Coulter is the disaster. She needs medical help.

Yep. I’ve always believed she was part of the GOPe. Now that she has confirmed this as fact, I wish she’d go out and have a couple of cheeseburgers and put on a few pounds because there is nothing more sad, creepy and disturbing than a person suffering from anorexia.
