That isn’t true.

American republicans still believe that have friends and allies in elected republicans and the GOP.

They really couldn’t be more wrong if they tried.

The population of this country has been utterly fooled, and even when faced with obvious evidence of such, the population denies it, because its pride won’t allow it to admit it was fooled.

This is going to result in that population’s demise.

The Republicans are at least schizophrenic (whereas the Democrats are certifiable, and there being fewer and fewer reasons not to proceed with involuntary commitment).

At the state level you have many very effective GOP executives and legislators. At the national level the GOP is a collection of pansies who are scared of their own shadow and a handful of sociopaths like McCain (and one increasingly wonders about Ryan).

But when Wal-Mart warns in its annual 10K filing with the SEC that any change federal food stamp or unemployment insurance programs would have a negative effect on earnings, you need to understand exactly how fragile the country is right now.

Until the national GOP is willing to inflict pain on the people who brought the country to this point, they are not ready to lead. The way you hurt the Left is by cutting off the money.

The Left runs amok like an unsupervised two year old in the candy aisle at the grocery store and the Right keeps acting like the idiotic overly-permissive Baby Boomer mother whose mantra appears to be “please don’t do that”. Meanwhile the rest of us are sick of the kid. Sooner or later somebody’s going to call the store manager to deal with the kid.

The store manager’s name is Bond. Bond Market.
