Gloria must have been stunning in her day, my dad met her once and always talked about how beautiful she was. My dad was a cowboy on a ranch in Arizona when her family visited the owners of the ranch. He said they were very nice people, or at least they were to him.

Oh how they have fallen since the days of Cornelius Vanderbilt....They say family fortunes are typically lost in 2 generations. Cornelius in today's dollars would probably me richer that Gates and Buffet combined. Thus, if Gloria only has 200 mill left she effectively has very little of the original fortune - BUT, I'd have to look at the family tree because there were probably many kids.
