In late March, Israeli concert promoter Shuki Weiss gathered the local media for an announcement of historical importance: The Rolling Stones are coming to town in early June for a huge outdoor show.
Weiss said that bringing the group to Israel for the first time was the fulfillment of a decades-long dream. These days, when we hear calls for boycotts from around the world, it cant be taken for granted that a band of this magnitude will come to Israel, he added.

What an odd world. We cannot count on the President or the Secretary of State to do the right thing. But evidentally we can count on an aging rock group to do the right thing.

Well, at least one Rolling Stones song has a few verses that sound pretty darn conservative.
“Pleased to meet you, hope you guessed my name?”
Anti Stalin and anti Hitler song.

I certainly have mixed feelings about this. I am glad that The Rolling Stones are paying no attention to a boycott of Israel. On the other hand, why are they, of all people, going to the Holy Land? I guess that if Arafat, 0.00, and Putin can go to the Holy Land, so can they.

AFAIK Brian Jones is the only one who has passed. Bill Wyman retired, but is still alive, as well as Mick Taylor.

Many years ago I use to like rock and roll, but even then I didn’t like the “Stones”. I found Mick Jagger very obnoxious.
After long years out of rock and roll and without much thought about it, except that I don’t like it, The LORD put it on my heart to pray for salvation for Mick Jagger. On and off for several years now I pray for him and trust that someday he will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
