It would have been fascinating to see what would have happened if conservative members of Congress had submitted written objections to Vice President/President of the Senate Cheney, challenging Obama’s electors on the grounds that those electors had voted for an ineligible, non-natural born citizen candidate.
The law requires that the certification of the electoral vote process would have been immediately suspended and both Houses of Congress would have adjourned to their respective chambers to consider, debate and vote on the objections. In the vote on objections, each state has one vote in each chamber of Congress and Washington D.C. has no vote.
Who knows? We might have ended up with an Acting President who was not Barack Hussein Obama.
