Miss. Anchor Says He's Sick Of LGBT News, Tells Activists To Go On 'Gaycation'
Talking Points Memo ^ | MARCH 27, 2014 | CAITLIN MACNEAL

Posted on 03/28/2014 6:54:03 AM PDT by Qbert

Mississippi news station WLOX-TV anchor Dave Elliott on Thursday said that there has been too much coverage of LGBT issues in the news recently, according to Romanesko.

"I'm all for the LGBT community's ongoing fight for equality. I support their fight in every way. But, it seems they've been in the news too much lately. Maybe they should take a short break. Go on gaycation,.. [sic] just for the weekend. Enjoy yourselves!" Elliott wrote on his Facebook page, according to a screenshot published by Romanesko.

WLOX-TV condemned Elliott's comments on the station's Facebook page.

"We are not happy at all with the post or any imagined "free publicity." Dave made this post initially on his personal Facebook page," the station wrote.

"[O]ur station is committed to covering news that happens in our community, and issues important to our viewers - that includes the LGBT community," the station said in an additional comment on its Facebook page.

Not interested in their sexual life. They should all go back in the closet.

No matter what you do on the stage
Keep it light, keep it bright, keep it gay!
Whether it’s murder, mayhem or rage
Don’t complain, it’s a pain
Keep it gay!

It does seem that we hear about homosexuality, or are exposed to it, constantly.

Aside from the obvious product placement of homosexual characters on TV shows, the news media go out of their way to cover homosexual stories, and they always do so in a sympathetic light. Aside from marriage, the media tell us that homosexuals are discriminated against in St. Patrick’s Day parades, for example, and make it sound as if they are being sent to the back of the bus. The media promote the agenda when they have an opening to do so.

I don’t support their agenda and I’m way, way past this malignant, narcissistic turd worshipping every day while the country continues to sink.

These deformed characters are determined to beat down the normal people with with reams of their propaganda spewed by the state-run media. The most despicable brainwashing in this regard is directed to children in our schools. It can cost these defenseless victims their lives.

"Do you have a moment for gay rights?"

I heard this directed at me as I passed a young fella holding a pen and a clipboard. As I sailed past him, I wondered what 'rights' they could possibly lack. Have I missed something?

Now the poor guy’s going to have to apologize or lose his job. I have to say, I’m with him. For years, I’d check for local news even before checking FR. Now, I no longer even look at philly.com - I just couldn’t take all the gay stories. Every.single.day there was some gay story right there on the front page. Quite frankly, it’s not my business nor do I want to know what any adult unrelated to me does in the privacy of their own bedroom. Why can’t they and their minions shut the hell up about sex?????

Well of course they condemned it. Ya think they want a bunch of protestors out front of the station HQ? Geez, maybe this guy is kinda sick and tired of being forced to promote things he doesn’t agree with. Maybe the backlash will be as strong as that which Phil Robertson had.(Like Phil cared. At all.) Seemingly forgetful of the fact that PC Avenue is a one way street and we’re drivin’ the wrong way. Your opinions don’t count. Only theirs. Sounds fair. Right? Uh, maybe not. But they don’t care.

I commented on my facebook page a few weeks ago that NPR seems to think that it’s listeners are waiting every day with baited breath for the lates homosexual news. For several days in a row one of their “morning edition” stories was homosexual related.

Got a lot of agreement.

And they next day they did it again.

Focusing on such an obscure issue exposes an obvious agenda. Their goal is to desensitize the population. For many people it is working, sadly.
