Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala Dinner - Inside

Vice President Joe Biden, in a speech to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Legislative Summit, on Thursday said the "11 million" illegal aliens in the United States “are already Americans.”

Eleven million people living in the shadows I believed are already American citizens,” Biden said. “These people are just waiting, waiting for a chance to be able to contribute fully, and by that standard, 11 million undocumented aliens are already Americans in my view.”

Biden referenced former President Theodore Roosevelt’s 1894 speech titled “True Americanism.”

“Teddy Roosevelt said it better. He said, Americanism is not a question of birthplace or creed or a line of descent. It’s a question of principles, idealism and character,” Biden said.

What Biden didn't mention is that Roosevelt insisted that immigrants assimilate -- or get out:

Everyone who gets into the Naval Observatory is the Vice President of the United States.

We need to start a movement that always has someone on Biden’s motorcade with a sign calling him brain damaged. They say that makes him very angry. If I hear of him anywhere near me I’m making a sign.

Biden needs a house on the Arizona/Mexican border for about a month.

Take a look at this Teddy Roosevelt speech from 11 years after the one goofy Joe quoted:

“There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all.”

“This is just as true of the man who puts “native” before the hyphen as of the man who puts German or Irish or English or French before the hyphen. Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance.”

“But if he is heartily and singly loyal to this Republic, then no matter where he was born, he is just as good an American as any one else.”

“The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English- Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian- Americans, or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality than with the other citizens of the American Republic.”

“The men who do not become Americans and nothing else are hyphenated Americans; and there ought to be no room for them in this country. The man who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land, plays a thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic. He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American.”

“Biden :”“Eleven million people living in the shadows I believed are already American citizens,”

A more accurate estimate of the millions of foreign nationals living illegally in the United States is 30 million.

And once they are granted Amnesty in an unholy alliance of Obama/Biden and the Bush Republicans they will each be able to bring in at least five relatives.

This chain migration is what has transformed California from an American state that elected Ronald Reagan governor into a multicultural paradise for leftists.

RE :”And once they are granted Amnesty in an unholy alliance of Obama/Biden and the Bush Republicans they will each be able to bring in at least five relatives.”

More recently the ‘compassionate’ wing of the GOP has suggested ‘path to amnesty’ for just the ones who grew up here as kids and have clean records, graduated, etc.

This is a difficult one to fight, calling them ‘criminals’ as many anonymous posters do is a complete loser in the public square involving elections.

I am convinced that if they got amnesty they would immediately use it to fight to get their relatives amnesty, using the ‘pro-family hypocrisy ‘ arguments, and on and on(much like Reagan amnesty beneficiaries do).

Also Much like giving in on same sex couples adoptions was used decades later as an argument for same sex marriage.

Maybe so in Maryland, it sure as hell isn’t in California.

When you’ve been swamped by the problem for as long as we have you don’t give a rat’s @## about political correctness. You get tired of billboards and radio broadcasts in foreign languages. You get tired of hack politicians treating foreign national lawbreakers as something special that laws don’t apply to.

In fact one of the reasons that Republicans can’t get the base to vote for them out here anymore is because the spineless cowards won’t treat border trespassing as a crime.

Maryland AND CA, the GOP cant win in either state and so cant have any say in either state.

Maryland immigration situation is different than CA, different countries of origin.

“Maryland immigration situation is different than CA, different countries of origin.”

While granting that LA is now the second largest concentration of Mexican nationals in the world, California’s illegal alien population comes from every spot on the globe.

No matter what the largest group of illegal aliens is in Maryland, we will have a greater number of that same nationality here. The Los Angeles Unified School District has to deal with 100 languages.

The refusal of the GOP and the Democrats to enforce our law is nothing short of criminal. And it’s not just California that pays the price. The cost is enormous and it affects all of you throughout the country.
