Due to work policy, I lurked from very early on and didn’t register until we were coming up on the Impeachment House Manger’s dinner. Used to meet up on a MS chat that Yellow Rose of Texas had going in ‘98. All that in context of you being a 98 alumni who I remember well.
There are, as you point out, key moments of activism where the digging and tight analysis, we sometimes can generate here, seem to be an internet nexus of information and motivation.
We waste way too much time on bickering with each other in the last ten years.
I guess I should also add that in those days (98 to 2001) it was rare to ever see someone post about something as mundane, pedestrian, mainstream, childish and inconsequential as a talk radio entertainer.
It was 2000 before newbies even began to post about “what Rush is saying.”
I walked neighborhoods for Goldwater as a kid. I built the KC radio station where Rush got back into Radio after working as a guy in the marketing department of the KC Royals. We were conservative when it wasn’t even cool and edgy.
Weiner’s treatment of George Zimmerman’s trial should preclude him from consideration by any serious conservative.
1260 AM, WWRC is the station to which you refer. I’ve never had trouble getting it. Try and see if you can pull in 680 WCBM out of Baltimore.
Maybe WWRC needs an FM relay like WMAL has.
Sarah is a smart analyst with a lot of interesting things to say. He has a lot of people on who aren’t running for anything.
I miss Sean’s TV segments with Michelle Malkin.
They used to go head to head. Now, in a number of markets, Savage is Levin’s lead-in.
I’m a fan of both Savage and Hannity, but Sean really needs to work on his grammar. He uses double subjects constantly.
Actually, they do. Levin was trashing him just this evening.
You nailed it. He can be irritating sometimes (I say that as a fan and listener), but he is definitely one of the smartest guys on the air and he always has something interesting to say.

The opening statement was, “why do they feud”.
Michael Savage has been on the air for how long? I’ve been listening to him on and off for 15 years in this area. In that time, he has been on and off, different times, different stations, FM and AM.
At the moment, and this is a conservative area, He has been off the air for the past two years, no questions, no answers.
He has been bashing every other radio talk show host for that long, venomously.
He has trashed every politician he feels like trashing, when that politician gets away from his trashmouth, like the mafia, he is. Like a spurned 15 year old girl stalking her crush, ‘you’re mine, and if I can’t have you , no one can’. Once you talk to him, you’re his, and he’ll trash conservatives, whether they’re good for the country or not, and he won’t get off it.
If people don’t think the way he does, he becomes abusive. If Levin, Hannity, Rush, don’t act the way he approves, he has to take away from them.
It’s not like stern or Imus who have some semblance of humility, in comparison. Savage is never wrong.
His aim is to take away the enjoyment of listening to others.
Levin and Hannity, after 15 or more years, say something.
Levin has been listening to Savage trash Hannity all day, all week, Savage won’t shutup about how he is so much better than Hannity in that time slot.
It’s been a couple of months?
He will end up doing what he always does, bombing and switching venues. He has to take Hannity out at the same time, and anyone else he can.
There is no one else who does this. There are no other talk show hosts who talk about each other.
Levin is defending his friend.
If that’s a feud, define it as such.
But it is wimpy, weak and dimwitted to run around saying, “ooh, everyone stop fighting”, when we can get back to business only if people tell the nasty, destructive, self serving, stupid, unsuccessful people to shut up and get to work, or get out of the way, because all this, “be nice to each other” does not go for people who trash the good guys.
Think positive.
I used to before he became the noon guy here in SF.
Why, after listening to his poisonous venom, that even Imus doesn’t spew, would you call for people to not defend themselves and their friends against it.

He is venomous.
All Levin has to do is wait until Savage runs out his year or so at ABC and they’ll get rid of him, Like every other station does. He is smart and funny until he is vile. Levin has had to hear this guy spew about how he is ruling the time slot, after taking over from Hannity.

Yes, we were conservative when it wasn't cool.
Seems we have a younger class to educate now. Maybe there is a chance to recapture some of that 1998-2000 era that made FR so great.
