” . . . .it is virtually impossible that he would ever be convicted by the Senate.

The overwhelming majority of Senators would not go to the evidence room to review the confidential evidence in the Bill Clinton trial, not presented to the public, before they rendered judgment on his impeachment. By not looking at the evidence they could safely vote in ignorance and claim it was all about consensual “sex”.

If they wouldn’t do their duty with respect to a slam dunk case involving a white male President committing perjury, sexual harassment, and probably rape, not to mention giving military secrets to the Chicoms, why would they take on Obama.

“I’m going to need to see at least 25 senate democrats calling for it before I’ll begin to believe its possible.”

Before Nixon resigned, it took a large number of republican senators to tell him to resign before it happened.

So it is true for the democrat president Obama.

Rush Limbaugh: Obama Impeachment "Never Going To Happen"

Rush's statement is correct that the House members will probably never impeach Traitorobama.

Now if Rush wanted to be less insulting of the House members, he could have said their mothers were whores.

“It all depends on who writes the history.
Facts have a funny way of changing...”

Lincoln’s shredding of the Constitution to save the “union” does receive little mention in the history books. Probably more time is given to the sins of the slaveholding founders who wrote the document.

We don’t need the Senate to impeach Obama. The House can do that on thei own even if the Senate won’t convict. I’d like all the sordid details the media has ignored drug out into the open during impeachment hearings. It would be the political equivalent of a car wreck. The media could not ignore it. It would be THE story.

Washington is a tough state to find Republicans. Oregon is almost as bad

It's like being in that movie, "invasion of the body snatchers". You say anything negative against Obama and they start to screech and point fingers.

If Obama were to be impeached there would need to be widespread
support from his own side and those idiots have already demonstrated
that no amount of illegal activity on the part of their leaders merits
such an action.

I've thought of that but my sinful side just hates to back down from a battle, even if I'm out numbered.

“Second - What if the CUBS win the series?”

Jesus will appear suddenly in center field at Wrigley and the ENTIRE BALL GAME IS OVER, SPORTS FANS!

Seriously, I love the Cubs, and Wrigley. I was blessed enough to see two games there in my life, and I have a big fleece Cub blanket, because it sleeted during one of the games there.

The cubs won back to back in 1907 and 1908. They haven’t won in 105 years, but they’ve won.

The Mariners? Jesus may show up first. It’s run by people who seem to hate baseball at the ownership level. The guy at Nintendo that owned if for years NEVER attended a game. Not once. He has since died, and the went out and got Cano, but Seattle has been a pretty feckless place for sports teams, with the exception of the recent Super Bowl win. Before that, the last major male sports team to win was the 1978 Sonics. The Storm has one at least two WNBA championships.

Jack Z is no Billy Beene either. He’s not horrible, but not Beene. If Beene had Jack Z’s budget, the A’s would have a dynasty. If he had the Yankee’s budget, they might have cancelled MLB for lack of interest, given the A’s winning it so many times in a row.

The A’s are TWO TIME AL West Division Champs with a budget of less than $60M. Beene should have a wing at Cooperstown with all the future hall of famers that started as A’s during his tenure.

Quite a guy.

Rush is right as usual. Trying to waste energy on impeaching Obama is a highly futile effort. And it gains nothing in political success, so essential to push forward conservative agenda. It will make black folks angry and bring them to the ballot box in droves in protest.

Add to post 68: If the Demo power structure saw a large potential
for a successful impeachment they would find a way to first force
Biden to step down and replace him with guess who?

Are you saying an impeachment conviction only requires a simple majority in the Senate?

He is stating his opinion. I would love to see Obama impeached, but I think Limbaugh is probably correct on this. The elected Republicans in DC simply have zero backbone. That does not make Rush a part of the problem.

I don’t know. It’s the House that impeaches. Some think the act of removing the president from office is impeachment. Impeachment is like an indictment. You still have to get tried. Even if Obama is JUST impeached it will result in a lot of things being exposed to the light of day. Benghazi, Fast and furious, it goes on and on.

Sadly, most Americans and I daresay even most FReepers have no idea what time it is and where we have arrived.

But they are growing comfortable with it, and finding solace in wishful thinking while ignoring reality.

Impeachment is the ideal remedy for a lawless president. Just don’t count on it happening with the current crop of miscreants and cowards who make up the Fools on the Hill.

Are you saying Democrats will still control the Senate in 2015?

If the Republicans win back the Senate in 2014, they still wouldn't have the 2/3rds necessary to convict Obama. IF we take the Senate we would end up with a slim majority and only nominal control. Even if Republicans had 3/4's of the Senate they wouldn't have the votes to convict Obama. Haven't you noticed he's black (well, half black) and even calling him out on his various failures draws endless calls of racism. Impeaching and convicting the first "black" President is just not going to happen. Even if Obama ate a live baby on national TV, I doubt he could be removed from office.

Limbaugh is right. Impeaching Obama is never going to happen.

It takes 2/3 of the Senate to convict. Rats are corruptocrats, so you’ll never get enough votes to remove Obastard from office. If you have no chance of conviction, then Impeachment in the house is worse than a waste of time.

You are the one who brought up the Senate, so I had to assume you were talking about the “conviction” side. And you are incorrect if you think the mere act of Impeachment by the House will bring any of the scandals you mention out into the open. The press and the Rats will ignore these issues just as they’ve been ignoring them up to now.

We’ve been down this road before....
