I went to a school one year that required uniforms. I really liked mine. Sure made things easy on Mom for shopping!

I went to a school one year that required uniforms.
I had a neighbor who attended the local Catholic high school (my brothers and I transferred to public school after tuition got beyond my parents' ability to pay). His mom worked in the school's office. At the beginning of each school year they measured all the girls for their uniforms.
One year, since his mom worked there and he could access the office, he pilfered the list. He and two co-conspirators made multiple copies and distributed them to all of us adolescent boys in the neighborhood.
"Complete Compendium of Catholic School Girls' Measurements" was the hottest underground publication ever to sweep the young males our neighborhood.

...and deciding what to wear in the morning. [Wonder what I did with all that time I saved?]
The nuns were very strict about the length of your skirt ....if there was a *question*....they made you kneel on the floor...and if the hem didn't touch the floor...you got sent home immediately.
