Mitch McConnell Freaks Out and Calls The Police on Reporter Who He Feared Questions From

In an insane abuse of power, the news editor for LEO Weekly, Joe Sonka, had the police called on him, and was threatened with arrest because Mitch McConnell was afraid that he would ask questions at a press conference.

According to the Courier-Journal:

The campaign called on the Louisville Metro Police to make sure that Sonka, who has been critical of McConnell in the past, from entering the conference room at the Hilton Garden Inn, on Crittenden Drive, where the event was held. …

Sonka said he was originally told that he couldn’t attend because there was limited space in the room. In fact, there were numerous empty chairs in the room.

Moments before the event, Jesse Benton, McConnell’s campaign manager, said that Sonka had been barred because other reporters had objected to Sonka asking questions. Benton refused to say who that reporter was.

This wasn’t the first time McConnell’s staff tried to keep Sonka out of an event. On February 14, before a campaign appearance at a Louisville business, Sonka was asked to leave but was allowed to return by the businesses’ owner.

“I think they were afraid I was going to ask him a question that he was going to have difficulty with,” Sonka said in an interview. Benton “said I could come in if I didn’t ask any questions, then when I told him I’d like to, he said he’d get the police to put me under arrest.”

Freedom of the press? Not so much in Mitch McConnell’s Kentucky. McConnell can’t run on his record, so he is forced to try to strong arm the press in order to prevent voters from finding out the truth about their senator.

Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Lamar Alexander, Orin Hatch, are poster boys for a mandatory retirement age of 70 for all politicians. Add Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Bill Nelson, Patrick Leahy and John Kerry to the list.

Ronald Reagan was accused of being senile but was the exception to the rule.

McConnell is a PU$$Y. He has never stood up to anyone. He fears all Libs but talks about “slapping around the Tea Party”. He has never slapped anything but his PUD. Same with Harry Reid. He’s a boxer(80 years ago). Big deal. There were only 10 people in the world at his puny weight class.
Both these scum hide behind their staff’s, Police, hanger oners, etc... McConnell needs to go. He is a traitor to his Party and to the US in general.

Bevin needs to do a commercial in Kentucky about this. Let the people of Kentucky hear about McConnell ‘s antics in suppressing free speech.

Just because I don’t like McConnell doesn’t mean I’m going to sympathize with some disrupting communist gadfly from Louisville’s “alternative weekly”.

You think you crass way of talking is a conservative presentation or proper manner of communicating?

It’s not.

Tough! Should I sugar coat it like you? Then we can have more McConnell, all the time. No thanks. I’ll stick with crass but true.

If politicians don’t keep the promises they made, they should be sent packing. Candidates should make term limits an issue.

No more than two consecutive terms to keep the cronyism and corruption down.

The idgits at Politiscuzzy.com don’t realize McConnell works for the Dimwits. They’re trying to get him fired.

So are we.

Ol' Progressive RINO Midge takes a play right out of the Dim playbook.

This would make an excellent ad, if you were his opponent.

Benton “said I could come in if I didn’t ask any questions, then when I told him I’d like to, he said he’d get the police to put me under arrest.”

Honestly, I think if I was presented with this statement I'd have tried mightily to make it come to pass. In one fell swoop I would assure my own financial security (thanks to lawsuit for wrongful imprisonment and violation of constitutional rights) and tear down the campaign of a mega RINO shown to be a cowardly thug who would use a police state against us if he could get away with it.

Jesse Benton is the Son in law of Ron Paul.

Many believe he was the number one person responsible for the failure of Dr Paul’s campaigns in both 2008 and 2012.

What are the chances of him doing so? I’ve called Bevin’s Campaign HQ before. Let’s call and encourage them to make a commercial of this. The number, posted on his website, for the Campaign HQ is: 502-822-6806
