Matthew Dowd Rejects Obamacare as Reason for Jolly Election Victory
Newsbusters ^ | March 16, 2014 | P.J. Gladnick

"It is becoming clear to me -- not that it needs to be any more clear -- that the Republican establishment does not want to run against Obamacare."

And as if to prove that Rush is right, Republican consultant Matthew Dowd on This Week With George Stephanopoulos rejected Obamacare as the reason for the victory of David Jolly over Alex Sink in last week's special congressional election in Florida. On Friday, Rush Limbaugh spoke extensively on his broadcast about how establishment Republicans want to downplay Obamacare as an issue in both the recent election as well in the congressional elections this November. At first Dowd merely ignored Obamacare but when the other panelists on this show kept bringing it up, it was too much for him and his Republican consultancy reserve broke.

I wouldn't be surprised if on tomorrow's broadcast, Rush uses that sound clip of Matthew Dowd to prove his point about the Republican establisment/consultants wanting to avoid Obamacare in the elections.

I believe the business donor base that funds both parties has decreed that they’re getting out of employee healthcare and Obamacare is how they plan to make the transition.

At this point I think we have to go with the theory that all Republican consultants are nothing more than deep-cover moles.

We have a winner. The corporatists in the GOPe have received their marching orders from the Chamber of Amnesty.

Witness the downplaying of repeal which is being replaced with “fixing” ObamaCare. The GOP is useless.

Anything that separates “health insurance” from employment is a good thing in my view. Unions caused this problem trying to circumvent wage controls in WW2. Once you separate costs from users, there’s trouble.

They apparently want the public to vote for them because they like the sound of the name.

Just proving once again that both parties are corrupt beyond any hope of salvation.

Mathew Dowd is normally a fan of Democrats... for him to say what he did is a BIG boost for Republicans.

Dowd calls things pretty straight, IMO. I think, he’s right. Democrats are about to get WIPED in November.

The "Jolly lesson":
The GOPe went all out for a conservative candidate they didn't want! ... And won big! ...In a district that was 'lean Democrat'!
We'll see soon if the GOPe learned it.

From Wiki:
"] Sidney Blumenthal... described Dowd as an "opportunist".[6]"
Matt and Sidney catfight! Ha ha ha.

Won't happen. They're too caught up in their own quest for power. And that will be their downfall. November will be amusing.
