KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said Saturday that a missing passenger jet was steered off course after its communications systems were intentionally disabled and could have potentially flown for seven additional hours.

In the most comprehensive account to date of the plane’s fate, Najib drew an ominous picture of what happened aboard Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, saying investigators had determined there was “deliberate action by someone on the plane.”

In my opinion, the same thing happened to this aircraft as happened to Payne Stewart's Learjet.

And no, I can't explain the changes in direction. It's just my gut feeling.

Once upon a time Uncle Sam had a huge set of acoustic sensors in the Seven Seas and beyond.Lurking and listening for anything out of place.

Would an airliner plummeting into the water trigger an event?

Did our Dear Leader turn them off to save the snail darter?

"The cause of the uncontrolled flight and crash after the Learjet 35 apparently ran out of fuel were not known, but aviation experts speculated that the aircraft may have lost pressurization and that emergency backup systems failed as the plane's autopilot kept it in the air. Loss of pressurization above 30,000 feet would cause occupants of the aircraft to lose consciousness from oxygen deficiency in one to two minutes, the experts said.

You might very well be correct.

How do you explain the turning off of communications? Payne’s plane’s communications were still active and they were able to track the aircraft using the transponder positions. Also, why would the plane fly up to 45,000 feet dive down to 23,000 feet and then climb back to 29,000 feet. Does not sound like the same problem that Payne experienced.

I’m not knowledgable about the system but from what I conclude is some/many
of those using them are from countries where it is hard to get official documents
to travel. Thus they use the fakes.

World leadership is silent on this, we have dogs that aren’t barking and chesshire cats that aren’t grinning.

Has anybody heard from the 99 mullahs lately?

I read on Aviation Herald a few days ago that the Capt. asked for an additional 2000 gal of fuel.(Can't verify that)I'd like to know is what was his actual load out. If you consider the fuel for the actual computed distance to the destination, plus the required reserves (to go to alternate, holds etc) AND an additional 2000 gal would give him considerable range.

The possibility of a cabin Dump is valid. Kill ‘em all.
What Blue Flag said is correct. Besides the pressure differential there is approximately 10 min of pax Oxygen

I don't believe the 40,000 ft per min figures, this is possibly radar induced figure.

I think the flight track was westerly, not this CNN BS about going north, or south to the Indian Ocean.

Anyone that has flown (as a pilot)at night will testify that air traffic controllers sometimes nod off.(Particularly in that part of the world) It wouldn't be that difficult just to follow the normal airways.

This a/c is on the ground and being repainted as we speak. Watch for an attack on Israel or the U.S. soon.

I’m hoping someone is watching for any unusual uptick in activity around nuclear facilities and waste sites, particularly in Iran. It would probably take some time to gut out a 777 and then load it with explosives and nuke waste so it can be used as a large dirty bomb. If that scenario is plausible, then the time left to stop it is running out.

“Wonder if it could have landed and refueled?...”
*******************************************************************

I still think that they landed the plane at a remote site where there were confederates with stolen aviation fuel ready for a refueling. Folks who have spent any time in “2nd World” and “3rd World” localities know that there is all kinds of stolen/diverted products and materials available. The plane could be VERY far away now and well hidden as they prepare it for whatever missions they are planning. We have not seen the last of this plane.

As for the passengers? I think it likely they and non-involved crew are all dead and disposed of by now.

One earlier report said that pair wanted out of Iran. It’s possible they just wanted to keep the Iranian regime off their tail.

That said, the one Iranian already had family in Germany, so you would figure the Iranian regime would have that info. So it’s not a completely satisfying explanation.

I hoping that you are wrong, but I fear you are right on.
Someone wanted the plane and the passengers be damned.
Why a 777 ? It was a ER (Extended Range) range in excess of 7,000 miles i think.
They wanted a long range deliverly vehicle

My two cents -

Indian Oceans , Malacca Strait are busiest shipping route.
India and China had listening post in Indian Oceans Island.
Flying over India and China at low altitude is impossible because of Himalaya and zillions of radar used by China and India around that area.
I can bet, both of them can leak information about each other, in case they have recorded anything, just to embarrass other.
US also had its presence and listening post in Indian Ocean and don’t forget Diego Garcia islands.
Plane could have landed in Thailand or Vietnam.

They are not saying anything about Cargo. May be they were Gold/Diamonds. As far I know, whenever special cargo is moved, plane carries Sky marshal.

Jet aircraft get “good” fuel economy in rarefied air at altitude. Bad fuel economy down low.

Has anyone else noticed how this missing plane is distracting international attention away from Crimea and the Ukraine?

What we’re getting right now from the ‘authorities’ is known in the counseling world as ‘trickle-truth’. Like the husband who cheated on his wife. Admissions start with ‘well, we’re just really good friends’ and progress to ‘Ok, we made out’ to ‘Ok, I boinked her’ to ‘Ok, she wasn’t the first’.

We’ll get the whole truth. Eventually.

Is there a standing order to shoot the thing down once it reappears on radar?

The most recent instance of blackout such as this was Sept 6 2007 when Israel pulled the permit on that nuke site construction in Syria.

It was an even that could have triggered war all around.

This is the same sort of singularity... I wonder about those Iranian boys.
