i didn’t do that figuratively or literally. i believe you are reacting to to this on a personal level based on your above comment. you have either done this yourself, have kids who do this, or have nephews and nieces who do, and you’re regarding this as a personal attack on you or them.
I’ve looked at a dead kid on the ground my Soldiers just shot, so I’m familiar with the scene. While he actually did deserve it, I managed not to do a happy dance over his corpse.
I agree that given the information this guy had at the time, he made a reasonable decision (assuming the facts are correct). That doesn’t excuse the daughter’s culpability in the slightest, yet many here think it does because....she’s female, I guess.
