This is how they plan to take away rights. Define trivial things as “mental illness” and confiscate your guns. Get a valium, talk about anything, and they run to the SS.

And I just finished 1984. Like reading today’s events. Notice I did not say today’s “NEWS”.

There were over 40 million people in the U S treated for depression in 2012. In addition, there were well over 250 million prescriptions written for a host of psychiatric medications in 2011. There was over 200 million prescriptions written just for anxiety and depression.
Psychiatric prescriptions written for 2011 I wonder how many of these people own firearms, and I also wonder how many of them are LEO's? Good luck to the morons who write these stupid laws when they try to sort out confiscations from 100 million people (or more).

There were nearly 50 million prescriptions written for Xanax alone in 2011. Hell, nearly the entire U S population is taking some sort of pyschiatric medication.

Statistics for Indiana show that 3.9% of the state's population suffer from depression (and are presumably receiving treatment)
State by state depression by percentage of population I don't know what the population of Indiana is but one could figure just how many people are depressed. So how many own firearms? And how many are LEO's? These laws are not passed with any significant thought as to how to enforce them.
