There is an article tonight that they found a debris field in the water closer to Hong Kong. Will find it again.

In that area are some of the most busy shipping lanes in the world.

And somebody was watching that area closely. Probably several somebodies...

Weird. For the terrorist conspiracy folks, that puts it on a direct course to the most radical province in Indonesia. However, the idea it could secretly land there is nutz.

BBC map seems helpful: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-26525281

Hong Kong seems a way away. We will see, busier shipping lanes would mean a higher likelihood to see something.

I’m thinking that we are now past the time that even the most remote villages and smallest fishing vessels could have relayed a message about seeing a plane crash by now.

Chinese media reports several of the passengers’ mobile phones were connecting when called by relatives, but the calls were not picked up.

“This morning, around 11:40 [am], I called my older brother’s number twice, and I got the ringing tone,” said Bian Liangwei, sister of one of the passengers. At 2:00 pm, Bian called again and heard it ringing again.

“If I could get through, the police could locate the position, and there’s a chance he could still be alive.”

She has passed on the number to Malaysia Airlines and the Chinese police.

Unfortunately, these days the widespread mentality often exists that someone else knows about and is doing something about something like this - you know, the liberal mindset.

So it’s possible that in that remote village or on that small fishing vessel, someone may have seen it, but won’t relay any message until word gets back to them that no one knows where the plane crashed.

There was a whole thread on the calling up the mobile phone phenomenon. Here it is: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3131568/posts?q=1&;page=1#1

Also interesting, the Iranian on the far right: http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/73496000/jpg/_73496501_iranianstillrotated_blur_2.jpg wears something that kind of looks like a cross.

I think they’ve determined that the Iranians actually were asylum seekers with no other objective and that the Iranian man who bought their tickets was sort of a professional in arranging such escapes for Iranians. They don’t seem to have been involved in terrorism and it looks like it was just an unfortunate coincidence that they were on that plane.

There were a couple of other stolen passports on the flight, and then there were the five people who checked in at the airport but never showed up for the flight, so there are still mysteries relating to the passengers.

Yes...I do not see how it could have been airborne anywhere near long enough to be that far north.

So the authorities knew of this when exactly?
