Have you ever noticed that competitors open their stores next to each other? This seems crazy until you understand a principle called Hotelling’s model of spacial competition. And once you do, you’ll also understand how Ted Cruz is positioning himself to outmaneuver Rand Paul as the conservative candidate for the GOP nomination.

It used to be that captains of industry felt a patriotic duty to this nation. They still became wealthy! Now they have sold out to the almighty dollar.

Today’s capitalists take those profits and use them against the good of the nation to amass even more money. This is killing us as a nation!

That little brat Zuckerberg renounced his citizenship but continues to lobby against us!

I am sad for our nation. I don’t know if we can survive this type of betrayal!

If they formed a third party, the GOP would disappear just like the Whigs. Lets not forget the GOP started as a Third Party....its first Convention was in Michigan in 1856 and it took just 4 years to TAKE THE WHITE HOUSE.

I just wish they would start it RIGHT NOW. Or just Revolt and elect new leadership NOW. Because the present leadership is so dead they stand for nothing.

The GOP had the White House, Senate and House for 6 years and couldn’t even build a fence. And I’m confident they would repeat that tremendous record if they were elected again.

Oh we usually run a trade deficit with Russia of around one billion per month. .....now if we put a 120 percent cri-me-a-river tariff on Putin’s ass, he might feel a little pain. If we could get the world to freeze trade with little wannabe HitlerYouthBoy, then well ...he’d be gone.

There were no real third parties in either 2008 or 2012, yet we still lost, badly. I’m not worried about the Republican Party, I’m worried about America and Western Civilization.

And I am proud that Ted Cruz is MY Senator. You need to move to Texas, Chris.

Reply to: stillofthenight. You said:

Paul strikes me as feeling “entitled” to the presidency. He has forsaken the TEA Party and is currying for the illegal, lefty vote. Just the arrogance of his lecturing us on how to behave has me bristling. He does not speak for me. People are making a big mistake if they think he supports our issues. He does not.

That is so freakin' right on; I'm going to include "All" in my reply to this so they can read it too. Hell yeah! (BTW, see my tagline.)

I have to wonder just how Conservative the folks at CPAC are when Sean Hannity said yesterday that Rand Paul drew the biggest crowd and the loudest applause of anyone, with his speech Thursday. WTF? Did no one tell them that the little political whore has endorsed, and is working tirelessly for, Mitch McConnell who is being challenged by the true Conservative for the U.S. Senate from KY; Matt Bevin? Geesh!

I disagree in part.

(in part)

I believe yes you have identified a big problem, but there is also the (big problem) that American businesses have decided that selling out America makes more business sense, than making America better.

They have in large part, just given up.

There is however a very big, and growing problem with this strategy. It gives the final victory to CHINA.

A massive communist nation, with five times America’s population.

Both parties have climbed on-board, and NOBODY is trying to fix what is wrong with America.

China is now the leading exporter in the globe. Not America. China is now the champ.

America we import everything.

Financially we are committing suicide.

Right now there is no better alternative to the American dollar. That is the only reason we are still afloat.

But we are over 17 trillion now in debt.

We need to bring back jobs to America. How we do that, is a matter for serious discussion, but we need work right here in America.

Bring back American jobs.

Cruz has the same position on “amnesty” as Paul:

http://therightscoop.com/sen-ted-cruz-also-supports-temporary-legalization-status-in-the-immigration-bill/

“Sen. Ted Cruz introduced an amendment to the current immigration bill back in May that would have removed the path to citizenship from the bill completely. But it also supported the same temporary legal status (RPI status) that is already in the bill that Sen. Marco Rubio has been discussing. And even more than that, it also supported permanent legal residency status as well.

“Now if you happen to believe that temp legal status is amnesty, as some of you have suggested, then I guess that means Ted Cruz supports amnesty. But that’s not what it is. It isn’t amnesty. It’s temporary legal status that can’t move on to permanent legal residency status without the border being secured. The whole point of temporary legal status is to get people out of the ‘shadows’, which is what Cruz says in the video below.”

He has forsaken the TEA Party and is currying for the illegal, lefty vote.

That is false.

http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/immigration/item/15740-rand-paul-immigration-amendment-aims-to-prevent-voter-fraud

"The amendment offered by Paul protects the sanctity of the ballot box by ensuring that those present in the United States on work visas or who receive immigration status under provisions of the larger legislation are prevented from voting until they become U.S. citizens.

"As part of the process, new procedures will be established to assist states in assuring that those on work visas or who have gained status under the Gang of Eight’s woeful immigration package have not registered to vote illegally.

" "Not only would this amendment prevent voter fraud, it would also clear up the problem created by today's Supreme Court decision. My amendment requires states to check citizenship before registering people to vote in federal elections," Senator Paul said."
