No wonder left-leaning constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley says that we are at “a constitutional tipping point” and that Congress must act to stop this president’s “dangerous,” “destabilizing” “aggregation of power.”

I might be inclined to agree with this guy, but not when it comes to ObamaCare. It's hard to accuse a president of abusing his office when he issues executive orders to delay the implementation of a Federal law that never should have been passed in the first place.

I suspect the real reason why a "left-leaning constitutional scholar" would be concerned about this is that it's exposing this entire administration as an absolute joke -- and that more and more Americans are getting perfectly comfortable with the idea that they have no legal or moral obligation to obey the law anymore.

Why would that worry a leftie? That's what the left's all about. Course, I guess it might worry them to see the previously placid rest of the country decide those were the new rules, like they've always been for leftards.

The authority of executive orders does not trump the authority of federal law duly passed by Congress and signed by the President. As you are well aware, the President has no right to an opinion of the law with regards to its enactment nor does he have any other option but to enforce it as written. Also, as I'm sure that you know, it was codified in the body of the law that only Congress has the authority to change any aspect of the law, not the President. The degree to which he can arrogate to himself this phantom authority with no reaction from Congress is the degree that his actions threaten the principle of the rule of law in this country. Jonathan Turley is right. Remember, this country is still a Great Experiment in democracy and this a$$clown is trying to make it a failed one.
