A a well-organized boycott of Disney movies, parks, and merchandise by Christians could put a real hurtin’ on that company. I already sold my stock a number of years ago when they started having their annual Gay Days.

“A a well-organized boycott of Disney movies, parks, and merchandise by Christians could put a real hurtin’ on that company.”

You are 100% correct. Recall how quickly Cracker Barrel reversed its decision on Duck Dynasty merchandise. I noticed once it announced it was removing Duck Dynasty merchandise the number of cars in the parking lot of the local restaurant dropped by at least 30%. Management quickly responded to the drop in patronage determining their real customers were angry.

Also notice that A&E quickly did a 180 as well but didn’t publicly announce it. When flipping through the channels it seems that A&E is playing Duck Dynasty reruns constantly. Consumers have real power if they will use it not to patronize establishments.

A national boycott of Disney (and its TV network ABC) would likely have a significant impact if Christian organizations would join together and execute one. A 10% drop in Disney park attendance and ABC ratings would force Disney/ABC to reassess its policies. Now what Christian group will stand up and take the flack for organizing a boycott? No way the National Council of Churches or any mainline protestant organization will take this on. Same for the Catholic Church.

Welcome to the modern world.
