A man named Webster Lucas is so upset with McDonald's that he has decided to file a lawsuit against them for $1.5 million, but it's not for any reason you could possibly imagine. TMZ reported on Feb. 27, 2014, that the California man is suing McDonald's because they gave him only one napkin with the meal that he ordered and received.

Lucas contacted the general manager via email and said that he was suffering from "undue mental anguish" and that stopped him from going to work. He also says that the general manager tried to make amends by offering him free food at McDonald's, but that wasn't enough.

This person is evidently suffering with actual mental illness. If getting only one napkin has turned his world upside down, he has very serious problems.

I'd dump a load of napkins (included in the day's garbage) on the dude's front lawn.

The guy has no case. He hasn't been harmed and actually initiated the battle. Wonder how long his record is and which rr box care he lives in.

He receives one napkin and that caused such undue mental stress that he can’t go to work anymore?!!! Oh no, I chipped a nail. The thumb nail!! Perhaps I should sue Cutex... I simply can’t function anymore. (sheesh....)

This is California. In the minds of the envious, class-obsessed people they will find to be on the jury, McDonalds is rich and this guy is poor so McDonalds needs to give him some money. End of story.

Well, the racial angle will be played up by his attorneys, since the victim is black, and allegedly he heard the Mexican-American manager say something which could be construed as racially charged.

After he wins that lawsuit and McDees starts giving out multiple napkins then an environmentalist can sue for wasting natural resources by giving out too many napkins.

Then Obama can step in with a Directive dictating the precise amount of paper must be supplied with a hamburger. Of course, chili cheese dogs need more paper, so a study will be set up........

It is my sincere hope that McD’s files a countersuit for jackpot suit. I went to McD’s for b’fst this AM. It was colder inside than outside. I am planning a suit for intentionally making food cold.

My experience is that fast food places always give me about four times the amount of napkins that I require. I take them home.

The lawsuit isn't about napkins. That's what it may say on paper (no pun intended) but there is more to the story...and this guys lunacy.

Webster Lucas would be really ticked by environazis limiting him to one piece of toilet paper to slow the fast junk flow…

Who? The GM or the one-nappy-only moron customer? Badly written article, IMO.

Yup. That guarantees him a big payoff by McDonald’s. Might not get 1.5 million, but they will give him a load of money and settle out of court.

At times I’ve had napkins and straws accidentally omitted from my drive through order. I made it through the day okay. It’s irritating but stuff happens.
