The way this administration responded to the Russian invasion of the Crimea was very odd. It is absolutely false that our spy agencies did not suspect the Russians could do this. They have to suspect the Russians would do this. That is their job.

I don’t buy it. Four months back Yanukovych hadn’t yet stiffed the EU, there wasn’t a protest movement against the rejection of the EU association agreement and the acceptance of the Russian economic bailout.
