New Jersey has become ground zero this year for legislative battles over gun control. The Brady Campaign ranked the state third in the nation for most restrictive firearms laws, yet anti-gun Democrats who control the legislature are determined to go all the way to gun bans and confiscation.
The New Jersey Assembly's Law and Public Safety Committee was scheduled to hold a public hearing on Monday (postponed for snow) about a bill that reduces the maximum magazine capacity from 15 to 10. Since the legislation covers both detachable and fixed magazines, it has the effect of to banning popular, low-caliber rifles.

Our forefathers put that in for a VERY good reason.
EVEN the peace loving Swiss MUST have a rifle in EVERY household.
Having the firearm is one thing.
Having the WILL to defend your rights with them - which is EXACTLY the intent of the Second Amendment - is another thing entirely.
I wonder which two are worse - MA and NY?
How about CT? They’re on confiscation-watch right now. It’s only a matter of time before we know how the first shots of the next American Civil War will be fired.
I saw Fox news discussing CT this morning. Very scary stuff... the confiscation issue is at hand.
Soon that whole area will be a “gun free zone”...
IIRC, it’s fairly easy to get a CCW in CT. NY and MA are much harder.
You are 100% correct.
I don't underestimate the Swiss. They have been in their tiny country, ALL BY THEMSELVES, for a long time. They've stood up for themselves, MUCH to the anger of many of other Western countries.
It's THEIR country and they CAN do what they want. They built the banking business...and since they are so land-poor, they did what was best for them.
The fact that they are SO GOOD at it shouldn't be held against them.
I would bet a whole bunch of Swiss cheese that those independent folks wouldn't cavil at defending their mountain country. They are NOT sweet, soft or dependent AT ALL. They are hardy, independent and USED to dealing with the snow, snow, snow and more snow.
Life isn't so easy with so much SNOW...notice the theme here. :o)
Well, not so much "all by themselves" lately.
Their population is now about 24% "foreigners", including around 400,000 Muslims. That's a lot of "diversity" in a country of around 8 million. It's also a lot of trouble.
The bill hasn’t passed yet. Christie will never sign this.
If it passes without his signature, hmm. I have one of those .22s. I could take it out-of-state.
Or, funny thing: I might just be unable to locate it.
Okay, Governor Christie. It looks like the time may be coming for you to either fly your freedom flag wide and high, or STF up forever about being any kind of conservative at all.
When the moment comes, I honestly hope you take the right decision.
Lost.
It was lost in a bizarre boating mishap off the coast near Cape May.
In fact, ALL of your guns were lost in the same tragic boating mishap.
Communists controlled States will end up outlawing all guns in the hands of Americans except for law enforcement which will be able to procure tanks and machine guns. How’s that for the wonderful communists Democrat party that are moving fast to take the Country.
The only problem liberals have with guns is that you can have them. No matter how many bans there are liberals and their agents will always have them. They aren’t afraid to kill their opponents either.
