Ukraine: Russia Delivers ‘Assault Storm’ Deadline
So, it’s late August of 1939 and the the Ukraine is the new Poland.
Apparently...
or Russian-speaking and ethnic Crimean Russians are in the new “Sudetenland”
Actually, I’d say it’s more like 1938 Czechoslovakia:
Kind of ironic when you think about it...
Putin used the SAME excuse as Hitler in 1938: Supposedly, “Ethnic Germans” in Czech Sudetenland were being “threatened” by the Czechs, so he had to send in the troops to “protect” them.
And England sent Neville Chamberlain to get his “Peace of Paper” signed.
Which, of course, TOTALLY prevented World War II... /s
The newest incarnation of the term is “hyperwar”. Iraq War 2 was a hyperwar insofar as it was, for most practical purposes, over in 3 days flat (with the bulk of the effort done within hours): all infrastructure shut down, regime removed, troops in place, conquest complete. (_That_ war was over in days. There power vacuum that followed took years to fill, a separate civil war which most confuse with it.)
They WILL move against Poland eventually. Poland used to be Russian once upon a time.
Same with the North American west coast down to California at one time.
For that analogy to work, a Russian conquering of Ukraine would trigger World War III. I don't think that would happen. Ukraine is closer to 1939 Austria.
