White girl: 'I'm tired of being looked at like prey'

Letter upsets city's Black History Month

Black History Month in Baltimore is a busy, busy time. Every aspect of black life in this city is remembered and celebrated: Black schools. Black music. Black movies. Black churches. Black literature. Black clothing. Black politicians. Even black trains.

Then Tracey Halvorsen had to go and spoil it all: She wrote an article about crime in Baltimore. How she and her mostly white neighbors live in fear. And no one seems to care. Or worse, lots of people think it is normal. “Baltimore City,You Are Breaking My Heart,” is going viral for an on-line magazine called Medium.com. A few quotes:

“I’m tired of being looked at like prey.”

“I’m tired of thinking about the horrifying final moments for 51 year old neighbor, Kim Leto, stabbed to death in her own home by two teenagers.”

“I’m tired of wondering why city leaders haven’t said s*** about recent horrific murders committed by children in supposedly ‘safe’ neighborhoods.”

“I’m tired of living next to a beautiful park that I’m scared to walk into at any time of day, thanks to regular stories of day-time muggings, drug dealing and gang violence.”

If you would have avoided him, you also would have been called a Raciss. Kind of sad, really.

Tracey it appears that it is time for you to move to a new state, new town, new neighborhood where you can feel safe and secure.

If she votes Democratic, she should stay where she is and enjoy the consequences of her votes

Time to lead a normal life where you can go to the park, go shopping, go to a restaurant and feel safe. Many places down South. Come on down and leave Baltimore to the thugs and gangs.

So Whites keep running. What happens when there is no where left to run?

The once great USA has become the new South Africa/ Rhodesia. Look around with all the black on white crime it appears many blacks are engaging in a race war, with nary a word of protest from so called black leaders.

Just be thankful there's not a Moose Limb History Month.

Although I'm sure that's in the works.

Many years ago I wanted to take a class at a community college in the Bay Area. I went to register, and on that very day while I was standing in line, a black man started stroking my blond hair, looked at me and said, “you don’t mind, do you?” I said, “I DO mind.” Fortunately, he stopped. As I was leaving, another black man asked me for my phone number. I didn’t wish to give it, and he asked if I was racist. I gave him a fake number and left. I never returned; I figured it was not worth the risk.

When I go to the gym and see you running on the treadmill, so light and graceful... mild... tender... juicy...

I am sorry, you look like a gazzelle to me (and these spots won't change).

and that our schools have been co-opted
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Government schooling has **always** been a single-payer and socialist-entitlement. It was “co-opted” at its birth in the mid-1800s.

Children in socialist-entitlement schools learned ( and are learning) to be comfortable with socialism.

Result: Wilson and F.D.Roosevelt.
Result: The social pathology of today.

From the article:

“Yes, I’m white, and so are lots of my neighbors. I also have Hispanic neighbors, African American neighbors, gay neighbors (hand raised), old crotchety neighbors, neighbors with kids, neighbors from countries I’ve never heard of. It’s one of the things I love about this city.”

When danger threatens, call on me, and I will equalize.

There was a really excellent TV series called "The Equalizer."

I was born and raised in Philly ( Kensington neighborhood). My husband and I are very mindful of the gas gauge when traveling. NO stops in any inner city.

“How she and her mostly white neighbors live in fear.”

I would not generalize to say all, but based on observation, very many black people live in fear, mostly of each other, in a law of the jungle that is much less than most of us expect from “civilization”. Based on experience, they expect to be victimized, and many try to present as tough and repellant an image as possible to survive. These negative expectations carry over into imaginings that whites spend their time victimizing blacks (whereas most are content with avoiding trouble).

Knock-out King and the current crime wave is an attempt to make whites live in fear, just as they do. If they could read, they would be thrilled with an article that says they have succeeded. Most whites still want to live in a state of civilization, and act as if they do, so they are easy prey when predators are placed among them, whether via government programs (like Section 8 housing), of by open access to public facilities and schools.

What befuddles me is why we put up with all this violence? Why is it acceptable for police to “track” tens of thousands of gang members in a locality — but leave the habitual offenders on the streets to rob, rape, murder, etc.? Why do we tolerate judges who set minimal bails, so that quite often, the criminals on on their 3rd or 4th crime before the first trial and wrist-slapping? Civilization has to be defended, or it will surely be lost.

This is the story about the clean child and the dirty child who go out to play and when they return, the clean child is dirtier, but the dirty child is not any cleaner. Same thing with the culture clash. The coarser culture will rub off on the more refined one, but not the other way around.

So true. Yesterday my wife and I took a walk through the local mall and stopped in a "Spencers" store. We had not been in one for at least 20 years. Spencers caters to the youth of America and pop culture. It is supposed to be a edgy store. It was a place to get prank mugs and funny tee-shirts back when I was young

What we saw was not edgy, it was appallingly ugly and brutish. Thugs glorified. Sex glorified. Curse words on many many items. I felt like it was the pit of hell. I avoid pop culture as a rule, so I expected thing to be different, but I was shocked by the level depravity on display.

You’re joking, right? I live in Idaho. There are negroes here, mostly in the cities. Lots of messicans too. They know to behave themselves - or else.

I grew up in Deetroit when it was still a thriving city. What I learned was that when the dhimmiecrat underclass becomes the majority everything goes bad.

yeah I was a hostess at a swanky restaurant and a waiter who happened to be black asked me for a date and when I said no, he said “you don’t like me because I am black?” Why would this person ask me on a date? I had no clue even what his whole name was, we had never talked, I had no insight into who he was,

Why would he use that line? Most likely, because it WORKED for him often enough to be a viable tactic. There are some number of liberal women who don't want to be cast as "racist", so they say yes even if they would rather not.

OK, it didn't work on you, so he just moves on and asks another woman. Eventually, he gets a date.

In the United States today, Black racism is more prevalent than white racism. It emanates from the White House,

Black racism was far more prevalent and culturally significant in America long before Barry Benghazi got elected. Choom-Gang Barry's election was an effect of, rather than a cause of, pervasive black racism.

Why do they do it? As I mentioned earlier, because it occasionally gets results.

Just as a mugger sizes up a victim first, observing the victim's demeanor first, and then often doing an initial interaction ("know what time it is") and intruding on the prospective victim's personal space to gauge his reaction, a prospective rapist often does the same.

The rapist is looking for a submissive victim, one who can be made to obey and submit. A girl who can be intimidated into allowing a stranger to stroke her hair and body, or to give over personal information, is more likely to be a good victim.

On the other hand, a girl who reacts to being stroked by screaming out "Get your hands off me! Don't touch me! Who do you think you are!?!" and drawing attention to the guy so that lots of people notice him and may remember his face, is to be avoided.
