TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- A senior Iranian naval commander says his country has sent several warships to the Atlantic Ocean, close to U.S. maritime borders for the first time.
The commander of Iran's Northern Navy Fleet, Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad, is quoted by the official IRNA news agency as saying Saturday that the vessels have already begun the journey to the Atlantic Ocean via waters near South Africa.

Actually they are saying, your president is a pussy and we can do just about anything we want and we know he wont do a thing about it. Do you think they would be so bold with Ronald Reagan as President? hell no
They could probably fill up in NY. DeBlasio & Cuomo would be happy to help them.
Ping.
I have more worries about this than most. If we had a damn near anyone except this pResident, I would not be worried. But with this guy ,he just may use this as chance to prove how tough he is and start another war. On the other hand he just might hand over the keys to prove how multicultural he is.
It is situations like this that scare the bejebbers out of me.
I sincerely hope our Navy and Coast Guard have the means to detect something such as that, and are actively protecting us against it. True, "One Second After" is fiction, but I don't want to find out for real how accurate or inaccurate it is.

With all the Marines in So. Cali, I think they might go to San Francisco. Who would care?
New overhauled ships (Dec 2013):
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/12/01/report-iran-navy-deploys-3-warships-after-overhaul/
The Sunday report by IRNA says the missile boats Neizeh and Tabarzin were equipped with Ghader and Noor anti-ship missile systems, with ranges of 200 kilometers (120 miles) and 120 kilometers (70 miles) respectively.
It said the overhaul took 30 months. Both warships joined the Iranian navy in 1981.
The report said another warship, the logistical craft Sirjan, was also deployed. A second logistical craft was deployed on Saturday.

Iran claims to have become self-sufficient in manufacturing all types of military vessels, but insists it would use its military strength only for safeguarding peace and security in the Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
OK, nothing to worry about folks, Iran is a Peaceful Jihadist unlike the The Great Satan. /s
Re post 22. Aye, there’s the rub. How close do they have to get to fire an EMP weapon? 50 miles? 150 miles? 500 miles? It might be a suicide mission, but I would not want to be in a US city, or near one, without electrical power for a couple of months.
Its a free ocean. As long as they stay outside the 13 mile limit and respect the economic exclusion zone, they’re welcome to go where they please.
Do they have tenders for the Fleet and where do the refuel in our hemispher?
It be a hoot if the ran out of fuel...
Don’t worry, the leader will send out resupply ships to take care of the brothers, after all, he promised he would be on their side if it came to a showdown at the Cairo speech
It really looks like the Iranians may be just sticking it out there to test the community organizer. Sort of a low budget Cuban Missile Crisis. Look out for a false flag attack on the Iranian navy by the Muslim Brotherhood. If they invite MSNBC and CNN to come watch ahead of time, you will know the fix is in.
Not to worry, the POTUS (Pen of the US) will send a sternly worded letter to them.
I’m thinking they’re here to pick up those ships hussein is cutting.
Maybe we could send out a couple drones to drop pig slaughter remains on their control towers.
