I can’t recall the exact case names, but there were 2 Supreme Court rulings that, taken together, established that a person’s “race” is whatever they choose it to be.

I use that to justify my claim that my race is Elven :)

[I chose Castilian because I once was enthralled by a book I read, “Captain from Castile.” Black? Why not?]
