No felony, he repented, but the GOP-e did not want this Tea Party man in Congress. So he got punted by the leadership, just like Allen West.

The GOP Establishment sure seems to be more aligned with the DNC than anything else.

The Florida media is gloating....the GOP has forced a conservative out of office, whereas Democrats who commit similar offenses are made into heroes (see any Kennedy).

Why now? Is the other shoe about to drop?

I’m sorry, but I could not support someone in political office who is an admitted felon.
It is sad, and I sincerely wish him well and God speed, but we need to remember our principles. It is forgetting about them and winning for winning sake that has got us in this mess in the first place.

Gimme a break!!! The Tea Party should have nothing to do with this guy! Good Riddance to bad rubbish!

He’s my congressman. I supported him enthusiastically. No more. He’s an idiot. Tossed away a great importunity. Now he’s nothing but a liability. Will be replaced by another conservative.

I wouldn't make any comparisons with Allen West. Yes, they both got abandoned or worse by the GOPe, but to generalize the two together does a great disservice to Allen West.

He should resign. We would be appalled if he were a Democrat and did not resign. He took cocain while in office, end of story.

He’s a drug addict who doesn’t dererve to be in a seat of power. Get over it.
To: SoFloFreeper
Frankly, I don’t want druggies representing me. I’m sure many in his feel the same way.

Good riddance to him, but I'm actually fairly surprised that "Republican" isn't in the title of the article.
As in, "Conservative Republican Trey Radel, a Republican from Florida, resigned after the Republican was arrested for cocaine use by a Conservative.".
Whereas, you can read a stack of newspaper articles about Dems in trouble and never find a single mention of their party affiliation.
