Police responded to an active shooting at Columbia Mall in Maryland shortly after 11:00 a.m. ET. Three people are confirmed dead and the mall remains on lockdown.
UPDATE, 12:40p ET: People inside the mall are being told to wait until they are escorted out. The scene is believes to be secure.
UPDATE, 12:34p ET: Randy Brooks, owner of Edward Arthur Jewelers at Columbia Mall, told Uma Pemmaraju that he heard a couple of pops and then saw people running. He said it appeared that the shooter had a shotgun and was killed, but police have not confirmed that. Brooks said others have reportedly been taken to the hospital.

One thing I’ve learned from FNC coverage is that a lot of people go to the malls on Saturday. I’ve got to dig out a movie or something. These people are nuts.

I think you are going to be hearing about more and more shootings (and knifings) and domestic disturbances, and robberies, batteries, increased crime, as people are stressed out to the max under the Obama regime. No one has any money anymore amongst the middle class and lower class. Especially now that Obamacare is hitting people bigtime. The rich will always get by, the rest of us, not so much.
And now on the TV business channels, they are talking about interest rates possibly going up too. Stress and anxiety are taking hold throughout the land, and amongst the slightly to more intensely unstable to begin with, it doesn’t take much to set them off. Look for lots more incidents through the rest of this bone chilling winter, and then comes the summer when all the gangs climb out of their closets to inflict themselves on society. Something to look forward to. I personally advocate hibernation for now.
Mall appears to be owned by General Growth Properties.
Fox News just reported that the shooting took place outside of a skate shop(Not familiar with the mall) so maybe someone familiar with this mall knows more about this particular skating shop
Maryland has the most strict gun control laws in the country..so the leftist loons who are anti gun have really nothing to say here..and your right, notice these shootings have happened more since Obama was first elected..because the economy stinks yet the media keeps on saying how awesome it is under Obama and how skittles are falling out of the sky
Oh yes they do....they want a Nationwide gun ban, since they argue that people buy guns in other states then bring them in.

Notice almost every single shooting we hear about happens in a leftist state, Colorado, Maryland, Connecticut..oh and just read how a shotgun was found near the shooter, happened at a skate shop called Zumiez

All I could think of was my fellow freepers comments from
past shootings, “Coming to a mall near you”.
And it did! I hardly ever go shopping, but hubby and I
were heading there this morning around 11:30. About 4
cops went by and I thought more than likely just an extreme
case of burglary (high end goods - jewlry etc..) at this
point I still couldn’t fathom a shooting. We start to head
into the mall and one lone cop who wasn’t doing the best
job of keeping people out of entrance said the mall is closed - then I knew it was a shooting. Stay safe freepers..
Haven’t set foot in an indoor mall in years, and I don’t plan to ever again.
Indoor malls belong on the ash heap of history, along with drive-in movies.
