"It's hard to believe it was 10 years ago tonight. On this day a decade ago January 19, 2004 I gave one of the most famous speeches in the history of American politics. Or perhaps 'infamous' would be more accurate," Dean wrote in an email with "YEEEAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!" as its subject line. "I'm guessing you might remember the climactic moment of that night, as I enthusiastically rallied my presidential campaign supporters in the aftermath of a disappointing finish in the Iowa Caucus."

This last 10 years FLEW by. I cannot believe that was a decade ago.
It woke me up completely and I immediately thought “his chances are OVER”
What I don't understand is how he managed to take over the Democrat party headquarters after that- or was it given to him as a consolation prize?

The “Dean scream” is an example of what can go wrong when a candidate extemporizes on national TV. Political consultants often earn their pay simply by keeping candidates disciplined, focused, and saying and doing predictable things. Contrary to what many candidates seem to think, running for office does not mean that one is suddenly endowed with political sense.
Such goofy “Daily Show” type kitsch actually appeals to the low-info Millenial voter.
I’m sure there are still a few closet “Deanie Weinies” out there somewhere.
Oh man that was great, I was laughing my butt off YEEHHAAAAAA and an atomic explosion LOL! They have to update it though: “We’re going to Marxism we’re going to fascism we’re going to help terrorism, we’re going to Benghazi, we’re going to spying we’re going to racism we’re going to Kenya YEEEAAAAHHHAAA!”
yes... he is delusional... that scream was the beginning of the end for him...
I don’t particularly like him much, but for him to lose a chance of President over a scream is about as stupid as one of our own losing it over “Macaca”. Seriously the media is dreadful.
Remember those days of innocence when we thought it wouldn't be possible for any democrat candidate to be a worse president than Al Gore, Howard Dean, or John Kerry?
He should run again and use the scream video in his campaign. Its his turn... /s
LOL!
