Federal judge strikes down Okla. same-sex marriage ban
FoxNews.com ^ | January 14, 2014

Oklahoma's gay marriage ban violates the U.S. Constitution, a federal judge ruled on Tuesday. U.S. District Judge Terrence Kern handed down the ruling in a lawsuit filed by two same-sex couples. Kern immediately stayed his ruling pending appeals, meaning gay marriages won't happen in Oklahoma right away. The gay couples had sued for the right to marry and to have a marriage from another jurisdiction recognized in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma ruling comes about a month after a federal judge in Utah overturned that state's ban on same-sex marriage. Hundreds of couples got married there before the U.S. Supreme Court intervened, putting a halt to the weddings until the courts sort out the matter. Kern, whom Fox 25 reports is a Clinton, Okla. native, cited that case in issuing the stay of his own ruling. The constitutional amendment approved by Oklahoma voters says marriage in the state consists only of the union of one man and one woman. Kerns said the measure violates the U.S. Constitution's equal protection clause by precluding same-sex couples from receiving an Oklahoma marriage license.

The roadblocks to amending the Constitution make it impossible with so many Americans now on the socialist plantation.

America can’t wake up . She is moribund. Even if she wakes up, it will be only for a short time, and she will fall asleeep at the switch again.

They used to know.

But our people have been conditioned for a few decades to believe that our past way of life is “intolerant”, “hateful”, “divisive”, “racist”, blah, blah, blah... and to abandon our rights in the name of being “inclusive” of everything...

While the other side just bided their time until they got all their ducks in a row in the judicial, legislative, and now executive.

They were busy little buggers while our side just assumed that everybody plays fair and had the same mindset.

Nope... not the case. And we’re seeing the results.

Greatest example of mass Pavlov conditioning I’ve ever seen. Gotta admire the bastards - they really pulled off a major coup right in front of everyone.

There’s a book by a Czech communist “And Not A Shot Is Fired” (Jan Kovaks). It’s worth your time to read it.

It's a complex situation where I don't think a one line answer is sufficient. I usually reference the following: And more.

I think it's important to note the same-sex attraction isn't a choice most make, although there are some who admit to choosing the lifestyle. If it's not a choice and there's no evidence homosexuals are born that way, it's easy to see where people get confused. It's a complex subject.

I agree. But now we need to list specific ways in which the changed contract has injured what centuries has rightly called marriage and is now being redefined.

I believe unnatural marriage makes the culture more dangerous for everything from disease to distorted understandings of gender.

My “cultural danger idea” speaks of injury to the culture, for sure, but it only tangentially grapples with injury to “the institution of marriage.”

Matrimony is defined by the root word for “mother” as being the haven in which protected mothering can take place.

Gay marriage broadens that special preserve in the same way that permitting cattle to forage on a game preserve injures those wild animals that were being fostered. It doesn’t matter that those cattle like pasturage, also. It matters that the wild creatures no longer have a special, caring eye tuned to their unique needs.

I’m just tossing out thoughts here.

See #65.

I agree with everything on your list. The ones that specifically seems to address “how does gay marriage injure natural marriage” is the one about children doing better with their natural parents. Next would be greater tendencies toward deviant, dangerous behavior from those raised in unnatural marriages. Homosexual outrageous promiscuity, even within unnatural marriage, is a danger as well, since it suggests that is a normal point of acceptance.

I've read the 14th amendment, in fact I have it here in front of me right now. There are 5 sections to it. What portion of the 14th amendment gives gays the right to marry? Section 1 - "....equal protection of the laws"? We already have equal protection of the laws, heterosexual (normal) people as well as homosexual deviant perverts. The problem is the activist RAT bastard judges want to declare NEW rights for homos, and they will continue to do that with or without the 14th amendment. Even though this pervert judge stayed his own ruling, the Republican governor of Oklahoma should immediately issue a governor's executive ruling that declares this judge's ruling to be null & void under the laws of Oklahoma.

We need Republican governors if anything in staunch conservative Republican states to grow a pair of balls and to stand up against these RAT bastard activist judges and declare ruling after ruling to be null & void. Let's see the homos & perverts & liberals sputter & fume about that! Let's bring on a constitutional crisis!! It is long overdue!!!

One I didn’t list was that when homosexual marriage is legal then schools start teaching it as normal. Once that happens our children are desensitized to the subject, they are given pro-homosexual books to read, we can’t opt our children out of some classes on the subject and more.

There was a time when people said that wouldn’t happen but it obviously does happen. Some said if that does happen they’ll join us in fighting the issue, but when it happened they changed their mind. Those cowards are wasting oxygen.

The people pushing this have been working behind the scenes for much longer than I realized. I stumbled across some names that take this back to the end of WWII and it’s quite illuminating to see how they organized.

One of the prime movers, Harry Hay, was active in the Communist Party and he saw an affinity between the secrecy and subversion of the CPUSA and the secrecy and subversion involved in his homosexual lifestyle. So he began building a similar cell structure for political influence.

Google Harry Hay, the Mattachine Society, John Burnside, Radical Faeries, and follow the links.

You’re right, this is far more than simple politics, it’s a major cultural watershed and a direct assault on Christian civilization.

I don’t think we “need” to list that necessarily…altho I agree with you on all the cultural things. I don’t think the crowd we can/need to/must convince will care about that or believe it anyway.

They will, however, find resonance with the post facto contract thing however.

I hope you’re right but I wouldn’t bet on it. Too many on the Supreme Court look like they have a personal interest in the outcome.

Indiana is right in there with this fight as well. We have a lot of outside influence coming across the borders from the surrounding states which makes it more difficult, but this is a hot topic in our state right now. Nice thing about OK is you are still surrounded by other red states for the most part and don’t get as many rent-a-mob protesters like we are getting here now.

U.S. District Judge Terrence Kern is a traitor to this country and if justice were to prevail he would be treated as a traitor. Since this will not happen, I can only wish him the worst (cancer would be fitting)

Many Gay marriages will self-destruct even more than heterosexual marriages. Mark my words on this date. It may be years, but their lifestyle is not workable.

The US Supreme Court Justice Kennedy has saw seen for the last 40 years how Roe v. Wade tore this country apart and they are not he may be about to make the same mistake with marriage. The people will might get the last word on this one.

Fixed.

When perverts become judges, expect the perversion of justice. A pervert in a blackrobe, is still a pervert.

The males especially are after same-sex children. This is a driving force for couple of coprophiliacs seeking marriage legitimacy.

It’s an editorial “we”...not a YOU “we”.

I think that a list of ways changing the contract has injured would be helpful.
