“should have either made a phone call or personally stopped by the NJ Dept of Transportation to have arranged this.”

Got to give the Obama admin credit for not leaving a trail to the WH for all their scandals. Of course there may be trails too, but they are “protected”.

“..how is closing a bridge to punish your political opponent ex post facto of an election!, worse, than siccing the IRS on your political opponents prior to an election in order to affect the outcome?”

From NBCnews.com:

*** The difference between this controversy and last year’s IRS one: In addition, it’s important to point out a significant difference between Christie’s bridge controversy and President Obama’s IRS controversy from last year: Christie’s goes almost all of the way to the top. Just imagine during last year’s IRS reporting if an email from top White House advisers David Axelrod or David Plouffe said: “Time for an IRS audit for Tea Party groups.” And a Treasury Department aide replied, “Got it.” But such a link was never established. However, that link is EXACTLY the case with this George Washington Bridge controversy.

"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee," Christie deputy chief of staff Bridget Anne Kelly wrote in August in a message to David Wildstein, a top Christie appointee on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

A few weeks later, Wildstein closed two of three lanes connecting Fort Lee to the heavily-traveled George Washington Bridge, which runs between New Jersey and New York City.

Let's see if Christie is as tough as he wants people to believe.

Will he have the backbone to fire his arrogant, corrupt aide?

Does he just talk or does he walk the talk?

The Fat man is done! This makes him look like a peti, political boss of the worst type. He is finished—even if her fires all concerned. It was a foolish mistake and one that will keep him out of the White House.

...Christie’s goes almost all of the way to the top.

Yep, so did the IRS scandal. Lois Lerner visited the White House dozens of times. The point is, the corrupt MSM can dig and dig and find something on almost any "Republican", but by gosh they can never, ever seem to be able to make any proof positive when it comes to a Democrat whose actions are far, far more egregious.

This will not hurt Christie much at all. That being said maybe he will take a another “ bipartisan tour” with Obama around election time

All this rage at Christie, yet Obama and the IRS? Oh, pass.

Not defending Obama, but Christie's aides used email to make fun of schoolchildren who missed school because their schoolbuses got caught in the traffic jam. What the hell is that?

He fired Bridget Anne Kelly -- deputy chief of staff -- according to article posted about 30 minutes ago.

I guess he announced this at the press conference...

Unbelievable.

I am not a Christie fan and never was, but it is ironic that his minions did something like this with one possible death and he says “sorry” and his chance to be President is destroyed.... Yet, Hillary “What difference does it make?” Clinton likely contributed to the death of a U.S. Ambassador and three other Americans and refused to send help that may have saved them and she is the frontrunner.

Hmmmmmmm?

I’m listening now. He sounds a little scared and shocked. So glad I didn’t vote for him a second time around. A 91 year old woman died because of that bridge closure.
