an affordable home copper bullet lathe would be better. If lead bullets do start to go the way of the DoDo bird, I expect to see our friends at Lee, RCBS, Lyman, Redding, Sierra, Berger, etc competing with one another to bring to market such a device which would be capable of producing extremely high quality solid copper projectiles which are already known to be superior to lead core projectiles in every way that matters. There's already a real market for such a device. I would love to own such a device and would have no problem spending a couple thousand on one if it could do the job.

I remember seeing article in a magazine with a photo of a lead bullet designed to be thrown from a sling.

Engraved in the bullet were the words in the original language that said...”Take That!”

People have been casting lead bullets for over a century. Lead will not just disappear.
