More fiat law-making by the executive branch.

Amazing.

This was done, by the way, AFTER the budget passed--the budget funding the lawless actions of the Clown.

got fascism?

This is one reason Sebelius has not been canned. A new secretary may change any and all of the “The secretary shall....” regs.

Indeed that will be the fastest, easiest way to put a stop to it. Use the inherent power of the secretary to starve it.

It’s the REALITY of implementing the bill.

Democrats would bother ‘fixing’ it if it were just Republican constituents complaining.

Speaker Boehner gave Democrats 2 yrs worth of fixing in the budget bill.

Does anybody know if Congress GAVE Obama the power to change this law on a whim?

Since nobody read it, I just would like to know if that provision is in there.

Did Congress abdicate their power to the Preezy?

What truly is AMAZING is the Congress - which the framers put in charge of mischief oversight of Article 2 - does nothing, absolutely nothing, but hold hearings. NOTHING.

Americans understand all too well that the FED GOV is broken beyond repair, and IMHO that is why they have not risen up in numbers. Wait until America's 21st century king comes for their guns..........

The one thing to take from this new “rule relaxation” is that it may have just opened the door for the Tax Lawsuits that the Roberts decision set up.

The SCOTUS decision clearly stated that the Individual Mandate was a TAX! Well by exempting a select portion of citizens (those whose insurance was cancelled) HHS and Obama have just opened the entire barn, not just the door, for UNEQUAL REPRESENTATION and TAXATION lawsuits.

With this one little rule change Obama may have just doomed his own signature legislation.

Either the law applies equally to everyone or scrap the POS.

Let the lawsuits begin.

Have we become so constitutionally illiterate that America's citizens no longer understand there is no fix for tyranny?

"Although all men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorant—they have been cheated; asleep—they have been surprised; divided—the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson? ... the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government, they should watch over it ... It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently free."

So-called "progressives" understand the "divided" part of Madison's cautionary words, but the rest of us seem to ignore the rest of Madison's statement.

Might it have something to do with our not having been "well-instructed" in the ideas of freedom?

Edmund Burke, in his 1775 "Speech on Conciliation," observed the following "spirit" in the founding generations:

"Permit me, Sir, to add another circumstance in our colonies, which contributes no mean part towards the growth and effect of this untractable spirit. I mean their education. In no country perhaps in the world is the law so general a study. The profession itself is numerous and powerful; and in most provinces it takes the lead. The greater number of the deputies sent to the congress were lawyers. But all who read, and most do read, endeavour to obtain some smattering in that science. I have been told by an eminent bookseller, that in no branch of his business, after tracts of popular devotion, were so many books as those on the law exported to the plantations. The colonists have now fallen into the way of printing them for their own use. I hear that they have sold nearly as many of Blackstone's Commentaries in America as in England. General Gage marks out this disposition very particularly in a letter on your table. He states, that all the people in his government are lawyers, or smatterers in law; and that in Boston they have been enabled, by successful chicane, wholly to evade many parts of one of your capital penal constitutions. The smartness of debate will say, that this knowledge ought to teach them more clearly the rights of legislature, their obligations to obedience, and the penalties of rebellion. All this is mighty well. But my honourable and learned friend on the floor, who condescends to mark what I say for animadversion, will disdain that ground. He has heard, as well as I, that when great honours and great emoluments do not win over this knowledge to the service of the state, it is a formidable adversary to government. If the spirit be not tamed and broken by these happy methods, it is stubborn and litigious. Abeunt studia in mores. This study renders men acute, inquisitive, dexterous, prompt in attack, ready in defence, full of resources. In other countries, the people, more simple, and of a less mercurial cast, judge of an ill principle in government only by an actual grievance; here they anticipate the evil, and judge of the pressure of the grievance by the badness of the principle. They augur misgovernment at a distance; and snuff the approach of tyranny in every tainted breeze." (Underlining added for emphasis)

Burke also declared to the Parliament that what he called the colonists' "fierce spirit of liberty" also must be attributed to their "religion," "under a variety of denominations agreeing in nothing but in the communion of the spirit of liberty."

In 1961 Ronald Reagan gave a speech warning us about socialized medicine. He quoted Norman Thomas (a candidate for the Socialist Party 1927) “The American people would never vote for socialism, but under the name Liberalism the people will adopt every fragment of the Socialism program.

If I were Ted Cruz, I would announce today that I was running for President in 2016. I would say that my main platform would be that I would use the new executive powers created by Obama to delay ALL of Obamacare for 100 years and give exemptions to EVERY US resident.

Looks like the Democrats in the Executive are giving the more self-sufficient voters (those not so linked with medical-insurance government and buying cheaper insurance) the hookup and tossing the medical-insurance racket under their bandwagon. Republicans should top that by slashing the costs of the medical racket.

So, is this a cover-our-butt move to counter claims on January 1, 2014, when someone (or lots of people) end up with no insurance and a severe health event?

It seems to me that if someone (covered and cancelled) really tries to go through the ObamaCare online process and is unable to secure insurance directly - they just may have a case against the government. Even those that are several steps up from clueless can easily be caught in a no insurance mess come January 1st.

You hit that nail right on its head.

Obama and hsi minions are indeed fascists by every known test of history. But the GOP has not awakened to that yet, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee HAVE.

This is a good read on the topic:

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/05/barack_obama_the_quintessentia_1.html

What we are witnessing is the destruction of the private Health Insurance Industry, and the consequent defacto nationalization of our health care system.

Say hello to death p[anels and health care patronage. Your wife has terminal cancer? Call your leftist Congressman for his intervention with the death panel to obtain extended life health care. If you are white, or a conservative, guess what....wifey dies. Thats what this means.

And what of hubby? Some of his ilk will take up the gun and go downtown ballistic. Thats why every federal agency is “ammo’d up.”

Fascism is here. NOW.
And NOBODY is fighting them for what they are.

Freeps, it is just time to face up to it. He has taken control of the government and is our king. There is no opposition from any of the other two branches of the government. We are all going to have to make a choice. Either we bow to our king or we will be killed.
