Inconvenient Truths About Latest Colorado School Shooting
AIM ^ | 12/16/2013 | Roger Aronoff

Coming as it did on the weekend of the one-year anniversary of the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting that killed 26, plus the killer, and wounded two more, it is not surprising that the media downplayed or ignored aspects of the Friday the 13th school shooting in Centennial, Colorado, just miles away from both Columbine and Aurora, the scenes of two other horrific mass shootings.

But this latest incident offered a couple of narratives that the media preferred to ignore. The shooter was Karl Pierson, an 18-year-old, described as very bright, and an excellent debater, who had had run-ins with his debate coach. Early stories said he had been kicked off the debate team, later that he had only been disciplined. But either way, he was no longer an active participant on the team.

This one is from the CBS News website itself...

“Students said Pierson held communist views and liked to discuss current events and issues, offering his own solutions.”

Still in high school at age 18 doesn’t sound very smart at all.

From CNN...

“He was a weird kid,” Davis said. “He’s a self-proclaimed communist, just wears Soviet shirts all the time.”

You do realize that’s the average age of a Senior, right?

Yea, and I just noticed in his photograph how big his ears are. We’re sure to soon hear from the resident in the white house that that fellow “could have been my own son.”

:: posting an image that reads: ‘The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ‘em Die, Climate Change: Let ‘em Die, Gun Violence: Let ‘em Die, Women’s Rights: Let ‘em Die, More War: Let ‘em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?’ ::

How much of this “instruction” can be laid at the feet of his teachers?

I personally kow of students that were instructed to “blame Bush” for all their maladies, up to and including the influenza outbreak.

From The Wall Street Journal...

“Chris Davis, an 18-year-old senior, recalled Mr. Pierson once wore a shirt emblazoned with the letters U.S.S.R. and described himself as a communist. “People definitely disagreed with a lot of that and gave him a hard time,” said Mr. Davis, adding that he didn’t think the criticism amounted to bullying.”

Hmmmm....I gradje-ated high school at the age of 18 and went on to an academic scholarship at a private school.

18 is pretty NORMAL for a HS graduate.

As with many kids today, a lot of it. IMO, it's a form of child abuse.

It is time that we pass some common sense laws that ban socialism. Anybody that brings socialism to a school should be thrown into prison.

Of course you were joking, right? In any case, I do agree some of the teachers who push hardcore left ideas on young kids should be kicked out of the school system.

As in “Why do anti-war demonstrations turn violent?”

Because the communist agitators who form and operate the protests instigate them? Every one of the large so-called "peace" groups around today was formed by either Workers World Party, Communist Party USA or the Revolutionary Communist Party. Each has their own "anti-war" front group. WWP (aka, Party For Socialism and Liberation) has as their front groups, ANSWER, Troops Out Now, FIST. CPUSA has a huge front group as well: United For Peace and Justice, also Peace Action. The RCP has the slimey mainly youth-orientated "World Can't Wait". None of these are really anti-war. They are pro-revolution. They worship mass murders such as Mao, Stalin and Che. They support murderous regimes such as North Korea. They support bloody leftist uprising wherever they take place. One can hardly be a pacifist and support these things.
