We are being ruled by fools.
“He makes great speeches.”
Oh puleeeeez! Just give me ONE great speech that had a figment of substance. Just ONE.
He only gives rhetorical speeches, and they are BORING and NAUSEATING !
Not only is he an emperor without clothes; he is a TOTUS without critique from the slavish Stasi stenographers known as the MSM.
Out of all of Obama’s speeches, the only memorable line is:
“You lie!”
Dan Pfeiffer, promised it would be "a consumer experience unmatched by anything in government, but also in the private sector." And he was right, kind of.
It's a gift that keeps on giving. The website was the easy part.
To say there is less private-sector experience in the Obama administration than in any other of the last century hardly begins to convey the particular pool of smarts on which this president has drawn. Nearly 60 percent of Eisenhower's cabinet appointments had private-sector experience; Nixon, Reagan, and both Bushes scored well over 50; FDR and Truman smack on 50/50; in Obama's cabinet, fewer than 10 percent have real-world business experience. None of Obamacare's begetters have ever created anything certainly not a dime of real wealth.
That explains a lot, a very great deal indeed. The reason this administration has so resembled Soviet era government by apparatchik is that is precisely what it is. The only things it is adept at are gathering power and enjoying its perquisites.
To Obama, this is about social justice. The reason he never never cared about whether the exchanges worked, is because the goal was to dump the middle class onto Medicaid so that they will get the same healthcare as the poor. This is why all the crap about "substandard plans" was such a hoot. They wanted those plans to be so expensive nobody would buy them.
The government must save itself from Medicare and Social Security by killing the people laying claims as a matter of survival and the global financial system with it.
See tag line.
“A few weeks before Obamacare’s launch, one of the smart set, Dan Pfeiffer, promised it would be ‘a consumer experience unmatched by anything in government, but also in the private sector.’ And he was right, kind of.”
Brilliant.
Just in case you missed it, I concur with the “must read” adjective ...
You have stumbled onto the C Edmund Wright "poison ivy" theory
.well done!!
when Steyn said “he makes great speeches” - Steyn was saying that in the plu perfect third person as what his voters and supporters have been bamboozled by. Steyn was not saying that Steyn thought Obama made great speeches.
Thanks for the great images !
Getting elected president.
Twice.
He would write and fill out a couple hundred cards...
Of course his concept of "brilliant" would be what any normal person could do...
His whole life has been an affirmative action golden spoon and he thinks that makes him special
