Yup I just got up from a hum-dinger of a Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey all the extras.... and a brother and wife liberal who could not for the life of them keep civil.... I told them I would not talk poly-tics if they would refrain from the same....What do I know I’m just an ex navy enlisted dweeb (with a masters degree) and he is a grand and glorious political hack. I took them 15 minutes to turn the conversation to their Idol Obummer... it took me 3 minutes to evict them from my house. They will never set foot inside again. It almost destroyed dinner but the rest of my guests and family think I did right.
Well done! It would be wonderful if everyone did this with similar relatives.
So sorry to hear that the usual libs pretty much ruined your Ts. As a vet, you should have been respected in your own home. In my house, politics are verboten during the holidays. Almost always, people obey the one rule I lay down. I’ll be damned if I’m going to work 7 hours to create a meal only to have some jerk ruin it!
