Sandy Hook Report: Adam Lanza Broke Laws to Acquire Guns, Broke More Laws Using Them

A report released Monday by Connecticut's Attorney for the District of Danbury says all the guns and ammunition involved in the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary were legally purchased by Nancy Lanza and then stolen by her son, Adam.

All of the guns were lawfully purchased by Lanza's mother, as was all the ammunition. Lanza then bypassed all gun control by stealing the firearms before using them to carry out his heinous crimes.

Because the guns were stolen, Senator Joe Manchin's (D-WV) failed gun control bill would have done nothing to prevent the crime at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Once again, we see that "universal" background checks cannot cover violent criminals that obtain their firearms illegally. Yet, the myth of universal background checks that will stop violent criminals lives on in the fantasies of liberals.

Given all the existing Laws this dirtbag broke, I'd like it if just one grandstanding rump-suck legislator would explain to us what they feel they'll actually accomplish by passing more Laws?

Since the perpetrator has already displayed a refusal to obey The Law, it's clear that passing more Laws will only affect the behavior of those currently respecting the Laws already on The Books. New Laws will have absolutely no effect on curbing the mass murderering scofflaws yet to slap leather.

Ironic that after the Sandy Hook shooting and the young thugs shooting of an Australian college student in Oklahoma, there were cries for more gun control, yet those same liberal sob sisters didn’t say anything about banning the flashlights used by street punks to beat a WW-II veteran to death in Spokane or the box cutter used by a 14 year old fiend to murder a 23 year old high school teacher in Massachusetts.

THANK YOU! He was a lunatic who was protected by his doctors ( who don’t want to call anything a mental disorder) and by his mother ( who paid the ultimate price)! Rather than admit and deal with such a mentally defective person while young, too many parents and professionals protect them, deny reality, and foist them upon an unsuspecting public. Now, because his mother wanted to protect her maniac, many mothers buried their healthy beautiful children.
We need institutions for the dangerously mentally ill and we need them yesterday. The fantasy of ‘treat them as normal and they will be’ is costing lives.

my report on sandy hook is one sentence. had an individual at the school had a ccw most of the deaths would have been prevented.

You know as well as I do that this reasoning is flawed beyond comprehension.

If there were NO firearms on this planet, Lanza would have used a sword. Or a machete. Or a baseball bat. Or a crossbow. Or some other type of bow.

Having a child in his mental condition and exposing him to those guns (any gun) is pure-dee stupid, and his mother is partly responsible for the deaths of those children and teachers.

Like everything else on the Left, their logic sounds good but it falls apart when you actually think about it / confront it with reality.

It’s very difficult to get someone hospitalized for mental illness, and there are very very few long-term care facilities. Rep. Deeds’ son was turned away for lack of space one day before he attacked his father and killed himself. I knew a woman who tried for years to protect her son and get treatment for him; he killed both her and his father and NOW he is in hospital for the rest of his life. The parents may well be doing the best anyone can given the our laws and the existing treatment opportunities, and still fail.
