$30,000 of my tax dollars, stolen!
I think it sounds great. Why wouldn’t the kids sign up esp if they need money for school. 4 years in school, 6 year commitment to NSA, not that different than an ROTC scholarship.
That’s much more than severely disabled veterans (many missing limbs, blind, etc.) get from VA Voc. Rehab. to go to school. Figures.
If Obama had half a brain he would be giving $100,000 dollar scholarships to students who wish to be Doctors.
Something we need a helluva lot worse than spies.
Oh Geee Cool!!!! do they get the SS Dagger too?
I had a college classmate who worked at NSA on a Stokes scholarship. She was a genius level mathematician, and I presumed (since she would never tell) that she spent her time in a subbasement at Ft Meade plugged into one of their Crays.
This is basically a civilian ROTC program for kids who are wicked smart with math and computers. And although the NSA is rightfully taking hits over abuses, the vast majority of the work done by it is vital to national security.
The Army ROTC at my college liked to do a lot of repelling down buildings during their recruiting drives to get people to stop by, take their literature and strap on the equipment for a trip down the building. I wonder what the Reserve Busybody Training Corps recruitment drive will be. Tap into the campus phone system? Hold a glass up against a professor's door to listen in?
Please note: must maintain a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale after your freshman year,
During college, the CIA was the only co-op job with a 2.5 required GPA. Every other company or government organization required a 3.0, so the CIA must have gotten the cream of the 2.5-3.0 crop.
a blackboard with a kid scribbling down quadratic equations as fast as he could?
During college, my grandson worked alternate semesters for the NSA, he sure didn’t get these kind of benefits. He graduated college with honors, NSA offered him a job. He turned it down and has a good job using his computer skills in a private company.
Let a Thousand Edward Snowdens Bloom....
Great find
And they have to wait years for it
I just talked to my grandson, he wasn’t a Stokes Scholar, he worked for the NSA co-op plan. That way he didn’t have to give the NSA 6 years working there after college graduation.

Your if 0bama had half a brain said it all that needs to be said.
I must admit to having done a rush job....on the spoofed NSA site
yes I made it with my own little macintosh computer
I strongly suspect that I MAY be on a ost somewhere by now....
Thanks
