Senate won't bring Upton fix to the floor [cool!]

Senate Democrats do not expect to vote on the ObamaCare fix the House approved on Friday with 39 Democratic votes, according to a senior Democratic aide.

The aide said there is not any pressure on the Senate Democratic leadership to bring the legislation sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) to the floor.

"There is a difference between constructive fixes designed to improve the law and bills that would gut it,” said the senior Democratic aide. “The Upton bill is the latter.”

“Harry Reid & Obama hate people keeping the insurance plan they like! Spread the news!”

Why do Democrats not care about the children dying from the hell of no healthcare insurance?

Because when people find out the results of Obamacare, they will say, “Beam me up, Scottie!”

I miss James Traficant.

Crooked as the day is long, but probably the best democrat to come along in a couple of decades.

When Obama is done destroying the insurance companies, it will be his excuse, FOR THE GOOD OF ALL, to usher in SINGLE PAYER.

If this helps Obama, why does he want to veto it?

It would be a concession and his ego won't allow that even if it means he goes down in flames - his EOs and Admin Actions have proved that he will flail and thrash til the bitter end. It is actually a good thing for us that he and Harry won't have any of it - they have lost their grip on the Blame-the-Republicans meme.

The Preezie said himself he wants to reinstate old health insurance plans. Can’t have the Preezie hampered by legal authority.

This is the bait and switch that Rush explained.

Upton is no friend of conservatives. He is far left wacko (remember the light bulb ban he started?)

Upton and his pals wrote this bill so it COULD be defeated, or even not even voted on. Why?

So dingy can return the Mary Landrieu bill to the house, and DARE them to not pass it. They then put the ball in the houses court. The Mary Landrieu bill is disastrous, but it allows them to posture and posture taking the heat off the donks, and putting it right back on the house. A game of hot potato.

The rats cannot stay on this sinking ship forever. If the GOPe keeps putting weekly pressure on democrats eventually some will break ranks. Think of how many times Pelosi scheduled votes to defund GWB on Iraq. Boehner needs to fight like a democrat. So does the GOPe in the Senate.

I don’t think Kate needs anything fixed. A small reduction, perhaps.

I’m glad someone out there gets it.

Upton has never been a friend to conservatives.

Right after break, they will offer the Landrieu bill, and force the house to vote on bringing it up.

At that point, WE are on record of wanting to throw the poor woman and children under the bus.

The Landrieu bill is a further train wreck that pushes the ball past the ‘14 elections.

We’ve been Rope-a-Doped, and most the GOPe know it. It’s part of the plan. Some here are lauding the Upton plan. Be careful what you wish for, and pay attention to procedural games they play in the senate.

I agree, but where do we find a controlling legal authority?? A truly sad time for those who believe that the Constitution should be obeyed.
