The GOP-E has been and always will be the Get Along Gang.

The Love to Share in the Power the government gives them.

The GOP has morphed into a amalgamation of Socialists and Moderate Democrats that took over the party after they left the Dems in the 80's.

Perhaps it is time to come out and say it, Grahmnesty, McCain, McConnel et al aren't RINO's, We are. Republicans in Name Only, because the Republican Party obviously wants to stand for big government, they sabotage ALL the candidates who would threaten that. Look at Miller in Alaska, The Race here or a have dozen others I could name.

We need to look ourselves in the Mirror and ask "Why I am a Republican" because it certainly shouldn't be to support the get along gang.

What happened to Fairfax County and most of the rest of Virginia is what has happened to Montana and is underway throughout the West. They destroy their state, then move on to destroy yet another.

Aw, thanks. I know you do what you can, too. This could have been won. Rematch against Mark Warner next year?

Look. I know that faux news has great credibility here, but THEY CALLED IT TOO EARLY!

I agree. At last look, McIdiot was only up by 29k and that was with almost all of Fairfax reporting. I don't remember enough about VA (I lived there in the early 70s) to pick out the rural counties, but I also think that they probably haven't counted absentees yet which usually skew Republican. In an election of ~2MILLION votes and the margin is ~29k, I would think that this is FAR from being over! But, I doubt Cucinelli would have the funds to request a recount (if its bigger than the "free recount" .5% margin) and I doubt the RINO -Party establishment will give him the funds to do it.

“NOVA has been counted...”

EXACTLY! Now go back and look at what hasn’t been counted. Some of Norfolk, and several rural counties. Not looking to give a lot of hope, but the fat lady has not belted it out yet.

Having McAuliffe as Governor might actually be a plus for us come 2014 and 2016. He is a buffoon of the first order. He will remind everyone of what a sleazebag Dems are, and he is not going to get virtually any of his agenda through the General Assembly.

It's not just McAuliffe. Inside every dark cloud is a silver lining. Wealthy Republicans feel comfortable backing Democrats over conservative Republicans because of the tax cuts and regulatory rollbacks accomplished by the GOP since Reagan came into office. When major tax hikes and new regulations are imposed, they will back whomever the Tea Party puts up as the nominees. Ultimately, a lot of wealthy Republicans (like similarly wealthy Democrats and independents) are self-interested libertines whose primary interest is in keeping their fortunes. When those fortunes are threatened by Democrats, they will return to the conservative GOP fold.

It’s sure way closer than I figured it would be, given the
lies and deception that have gone on there. People astound
me at their ability to be duped! :)

Cooch also apparently supported some really harsh anti-abortion bill, which also turned off a lot of women. Didn’t have enough sense to learn anything from the Todd Akin fiasco.

Cuccinelli could ask for help to fund a recount, I’d be in.

If anybody is interested in whether or not Sarvis hurt Cuccinelli take a look at Montgomery COunty. Romney tied Obama in Montgomery. Cooch lost to McAuliffe. by 3% with Sarvis getting 10.5% of the vote. So yeah, Sarvis hurt Cuccinelli more than McAuliffe. In fact Sarvis gets his highest percentage of vote totals in counties that Cooch won handily with percentages running a few points higher than his total.

I disagree.

The Tea Party and 0bama’s own incompetent 0bamacare implementations were the ONLY things behind an election this close.

And only the Tea Party put its neck on the line to protest 0bamacare, even in the few days prior to the real catastrophe of the website becoming known, or, the flack now being found out about its shortcomings.

The Tea Party and its representatives are truly looking WONDERFUL tonight!

Don’t despair—this is still very positive!

Dead on.

If there is no vehicle for Conservative representation other than the Republican Party, it’s going to be a long road to regain control, including voting for some Democrats against a RINO opponent.

We have an enemy to the Constitution with almost all Democrats. But, we have perhaps a bigger enemy with the RINO establishment.

So let me get this straight, Cuccinelli is down by double digits a couple of weeks ago, is outspent by 10:1, and this is a nail-biter?

Most astute comment of the night.

>Fairfax deliberately conjured up the votes. This race was way too close for the Terry camp.<

He was beaten the last time he ran. Like people have said, the entire Democrat party went all out to win this election, and even with that, the margin is pathetically slim.
