Why isn’t this drill done in the summer months? In November, folks will freeze and be without water. Not everyone has a fireplace.

Americans outside the areas may want to help but the government will stop them just like they did with hurricane Irene and Sandy.

Then there are those of us who need oxygen to survive. I have emergency supplies that will only last about three days without electricity. It’s cost prohibitive for me to have more. And the cuffs that keep the blood circulating through my legs and feet. Clots are a huge danger and I fear a shut down, an actual shutdown, will kill many people like me who are already under the shadow of death with no way to compensate. Can’t afford a generator and no one I know has one either. It would be a mighty rough go.

Police department all over the country were suited up and ready to help New Orleans. But they couldn't go in without an invitation... and no one thought that one through ahead of time. Walmart got in because they weren't legally required to ask... thank God.

This drill will be like the ObamaCare roll-out... lots of crap signifying nothing.
