Because....Free Trade with Communist China works! Says the Free Trader.
If it comes from Communist China...it’s crap
Thanks for posting.. Just a reminder that China is not our friend.. too bad we have given them the keys to our lives. I remember the toxic toys.. first the kids then our pets.. what’s next?

I make my own treats these days. My dogs love the crunch of baby carrots. They also love the chewy dried sweet potatoes, turkey and chicken.
I heard about this a few days ago. It seems to be mostly chicken jerky and that there was a recall on several brands earlier this year. They’re still having trouble nailing it down though.
what brand
this article is mum on specifics
there are a lot of dog “treats” that could fit this bill
Never..never...NEVER buy any pet food item of any type that’s made in China!!! Some years ago, factory workers there were caught putting poisonous additives in dog treats, resulting in hundreds of pet deaths in the U.S.
“Made in China” may as well read “Soaked in Acetone.”
Yea this is some reporting. WHAT BRAND, FOX?
Jeesh. I guess I’ll Google and find out for myself.
Oh yea, eff China and anything from there, why do we even import any find of food even for pets!
I don’t know if this is a possibility in the United States anymore, but here in the Czech Republic we have numerous butcher’s shops - some are national chains, the majority independent - but all of them make and sell their own “treats” for pets, dogs and cats.
If you have a butcher’s shop where you live, be it urban or rural, I’d recommend taking a look there.
I can say I’ve never seen any “Made in China” foodstuffs on the shelves here of local supermarkets; the only place I’ve seen Chinese-made food products are in Asian markets, but the majority of those products originate elsewhere in the far East.
The Chinese have even found a way to f up a dog treat.
It’ amazing how much stuff in those high-end pet stores is made in China. People buy toys, leashes, collars and bedding made in China. Aren’t they afraid of what the dyes might contain?
my border collie pulled through a horrible bout of GI issues (never seen this with any dog I owned) after consuming a “denta bone”, which vet said were supposed to be made to consume
not on the list but no more “treats” for the pup unless I make them
got to start watching the country of origin of everything we all buy for any family member to consume. And to think the USA just handed over a major meat packing business here in the US to China.
Smithfield ham anyone?

Hey, what's the problem? Fire up the grill we're having barbeque tonight!
Thanks for sharing!
We’ve been watching what we’ve purchased for my 4-legged nephew (German Shepherd) for some time (IIRC since the last issue w dogfood from China). I also have insisted that we don’t purchase any candy made in China for my 2-legged nephew - I relayed that 2 his Mom a couple of years ago and when he’s with me and wants some candy, we always check the labels - he gets it now and just says OK. I was looking at possible items to put in his Halloween bag (present) over the past few days. I’ve noticed a few items that had - candy made in Canada, toy (or plastic) made in China.
Also, I’ve noticed that Walgreen’s has had a ‘new’ brand out in food products for about a year or so. Some look good, but I won’t purchase them because it doesn’t say where they’re made, only ‘Distributed by Walgreens’.
When it comes to pet supplies from China you would be better off feeding your dog the container the treats come in rather than the treats themselves.
Mysterious outbreak? There’s no mystery about it. If it’s made in China it’s poison.
It isn’t an either/or situation.
