The 2,300 page healthcare law that took several days from writing to passage, and five years from passage to rollout will apparently take 50 years just to sign everyone up.
According to Forbes only about 5,000 people have signed up using the federal exchange. They say that another 25,000 have signed up using the state exchanges through Friday.
Thats 2,727 every day.
At that rate, it will take 18,335 days to sign up all 50 million Americans without insurance.
That means that it would take 50 years just to sign up everyone who isnt covered now.*
Who needs a one-year delay in the individual mandate when you have the Obamacare web design team on your side?
Imagine a computer generated hour glass filling and emptying for 50 years.
Of course many of those 50 million wont be covered under Obamacare anyway.
If more proof was needed of the inestimable idiocy of the Democrats domestic policy was needed, the unveiling of Obamacare should just about do it.
It won be cheaper, you cant keep your coverage or your doctor, it wont cover everyone, and if you need it, you cant sign up. Oh, and just wait until you have to see a doctor. Im sure THAT ought to be easy (eye roll).
Other than those little glitches the law works great.
That is, if anyone was actually paying attention to it right now.
But many arent. Perhaps a majority, say, like, 99.9 percent dont really care.
Thats probably a good thing considering that the biggest problems with the law wont be sign up, but fulfillment.
Open your mouth and say ah.
Wider...wider....
Obamacare has made our economy sick. And our country too.
Even before implementation, the economy was suffering from Obamacare-related complications. It got worse at the beginning of the year when employers stopped hiring people for fulltime positions in anticipation of Obamacare changing the definition of fulltime workers to only 29 hour per week.
Hence the one-year delay in the company mandate to provide coverage or else face the IRS inquisitors.
While hiring has gotten back to normal, even if not very robust, what are we gonna do next year-- which by the way, is only two-and-a-half months away?
Next year should really be a mess as the individual mandate to buy insurance or else face the IRS inquisitorsand yes that means young, urban liberals too-- takes effect in March.
And then, praise the Lord, the employer mandate comes roaring back in October.
Turn your head and cough...
The Obamacare illness will last a long time, however its implemented. Its a chronic condition that our country may just have to learn to live with.
Heres a slight glimmer of good news however:
I guess if you sign up, but get screwed by the website, or the IRS misplaces your file, the individual mandate may or may not apply to you. My understanding is that the IRS will first check to see if you have ever submitted a non-profit application with nefarious words like patriot, tea party or republican in the titles before making a determination how to proceed.
The choice then is either fine or jail time.
Yeah, yeah. I know. It's stupid.
It's Obamacare, where stupid is the new normal.
Jail time could be fitting too because the folks who are the new partners with Obamacare to sign people up are the former members of ACORN, according to our friend Katie Palvich, at Townhall.com.
Pavlich says that Wade Rathke, ACORN founder, runs a labor council in New Orleans that helps facilitate Obamacare sign ups.
From Katie:
Let me remind you of exactly why the criminal enterprise known as ACORN was stripped of federal funding in 2009: the organization was promoting tax evasion, underage human trafficking, underage prostitution, voter fraud and more. ACORN's criminal activity was exposed by the late Andrew Breitbart, Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe through a series of undercover videos. To put things into perspective, think about the last time Congress defunded anything.....they hardly ever do, but ACORN was so bad and full of corruption that defunding was pushed through in bipartisan fashion.
Seriously, Congress cant even defund combat tanks that the army doesnt want or need. Or a drone program it doesnt want, cargo aircraft it doesnt want, National Guard funding, or an east coast missile defense system.
Personally, Id pay to make sure a missile defense system doesnt go up on the east coast.
At least until the 50 million of the rest of us who arent covered by the defense system get coverage too.
So, lets say to fix that we start out with a 2,300-page bill tomorrow....
*Liberals will likely nit-pick these numbers saying that we dont know how many actual individuals signed up because some of those applications cover families too. Yeah whatever. 20 years, 30 years, 50 years, whatever. Cling to your delusions liberals.
So.. former ACORN volunteers are now full-time Obamacare ‘Navigators’.
That should work out just fine...
Furthermore by 2016 we will very likely have today's illegal aliens voting. That too is someone else's fault.
Federally funded identity theft.
I hope the author isn't this naive.
This monstrosity was sitting in a desk drawer for the past 10-15 years, waiting for the right configuration of Congress and President to pass it.
I hope you understand the difference between will and would.
Watched some AH politician say that 39% of his consits didn’t have insurance and now they will, plus the rates will go down due to the ACA.
If they didn’t have insurance how did the rates go down?Down from what?
These people think everyone is a frigen moron and the interviewer is an idot too for not challenging.
You said it.
I hope you understand the larger point, and it helps to know an irrelevant argument when you read one. The rate of signup? Really? Would it be ok if the trains ran on time?
Obamacare navigator in Kansas has outstanding arrest warrant
Exactly. Theft, not care. John Roberts went along with it, and so will we all. He called it a tax, others call it health "care," but it's neither. Still, the people will not rise up and correct the situation. They must have their tea.
Every day I see a letter like this in the local paper:
Obamacare getting bad rap
I recently signed up for Obamacare. Having been self-employed since 1984, I’ve never had health insurance from an employer. I’ve paid for it myself since I graduated college, with rates that have continually increased for high-deductible plans. I’ve worked hard to stay healthy, and have used my insurance minimally over the years. With Obamacare I will now be saving over $200 monthly for a lower deductible with better coverage, and lots of doctors to choose from. I’m happy and grateful! Obamacare has its flaws, but as as a consumer and a provider (I am a licensed acupuncturist), I see tons of flaws with the existing insurance industry, which have cost me money, hours of time, and frustration. I’m sorry that costs are going up for some. I would love to see everyone treated fairly with a system that wasn’t geared toward extreme profit.
Wendy Ballen, Capitola
wonder if they are being written at the local ACORN or SEIU office for propaganda purposes?
Not if we keep the House and increase the majority in the 2014 election and get the majority back in the Senate.
What will you do in 2014, make sure we do or sit on you ass because you want to punish the GOP again?
The larger point is that you don’t get it. and now I am done with you
Please try to remember that in the future. If you must make it personal. :)
I think we can bet on it. The media is just a huge Obama propaganda organ. Liberals know this but won't speak up because it benefits them. The media is colluding with Democrats to squash conservatism forever.

If Wendy is in Capitola that is California. Just read on another thread that you can not get information on which doctors will take your plan. So how does she know if the doctors in her area will take the insurance?
So I looked up Wendy online. She’s a “wire artist” with a degree from UC Santa Cruz in acupuncture. I would be willing to bet she’s wearing birkenstocks, eats vegan meals, doesn’t shave her legs, and is lying through her teeth with some of her comments.
