---comments following say it all--and I see the pictured group really represent the folks who would likely partake of the "buyback" program---(sarc)

The pastors must have a boat load of old weapons that they want to turn into cash so they can buy more modern weapons...

No pastor of any church to which I belonged would have done this. It’s beyond the scope of their mission statement.

The ‘Frican pastors need to make sweeps of their ‘hoods to collect illegal weapons and get Bammy to come to their ‘hoods to speak to H0lder’s peeps to get them on the straight and narrow.

Since we are talking about a BUY BACK here, I am curious as to just why these Pastors sold these EEvil guns to the folks in the first place.

Criminals love buy-back programs. They don't have to show proof they bought the guns - so they can dump many stolen guns and use the cash to buy a few good one. I suspect the Rev's backing this are part of the black community...

Why don’t these alleged “pastors” put up some of the fleeced flock money if “guns” are such a problem?
My guess is they have done a poor job of “pastoring” their flocks and despite all their “preaching” nothing changes or is it their preaching that causes the “gun” to run out and kill a human.
Forrest was right STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!
Woe unto you preachers!

time to hold their congregations accountable for their actions.

>> “There have been far too many senseless shootings in our city, many resulting in homicide.”
Go for the gold then, pastor!
And don’t ever stop to wonder if a “gun buyback” addresses the real problem. Or if it would be effective at reducing gun homicides.
No, asking intellectually honest questions would kill the buzz!

Methinks the pastors should ask for private donations to fund this gun buyback. If their cause is worthy, then they’ll get the support they need. If not, then so be it. We’ve gotta stop the demand for OPM (Other People’s Money) for every cause under the sun. Think something is worthwhile? Spend you own money on it or ask for charity. It’s called morality (something these “pastors” should understand).

Anybody thought about getting them off welfare, raising their kids, giving their kids lasting Christian values, making marriage a staple of their communities, plus policing and cleaning up their neighborhoods?
