I (strongly) support Ted Cruz, but I resent that he has settled upon the one issue I do not support on which to cut his teeth.
Ted, you are doing great, but lay off of healthcare until you have a competing proposal.
??
You support ObamaCare?
Which is going to push companies to send jobs overseas
Competing proposal? Why do we need a Republican version of Obamacare? How about just getting the government out of it? How much of healthcare do you think government should control?
I couldn't disagree with you more. Stopping Obamacare NOW is the most urgent priority, because once it is in enacted we will never be able to get rid of it, except perhaps when the left manages to replace it with single-payer.
And the lack of a competing proposal is still a better state of affairs than implementing Obama cares.
Imagine having the following scenario:
Doctor: "We don't know what's wrong with you or how to fix it, so we're going to cut your arm off because that way there will be less of you to be ill."
Patient: "But doctor, I really think cutting my arm off is a bad idea, for a lot of reasons. It will just make things worse, and I will be crippled for life with very little likelihood that your plan will make things better."
"Doctor: "Well, if you have a competing proposal, I'd like to hear it. Otherwise, shut up while I go get my saw."
That is essentially the position you are taking.

This author is spewing idiocy.
Just stop already. How about YOU lay out the perfect healthcare solution!
Oh wait, you said you LOVE obamacare. There you have it.
There is a competing proposal. Moreover, prior to ObamaCare we had the best healthcare in the world. What’s wrong with that?
<< I (strongly) support Ted Cruz, but ... Ted, you are doing great, but ... >>
Ted Cruz is doing exactly what Texans told him to do when we elected him and sent him to DC — Repeal Obamacare. And with all due respect, I don’t think many of us care if we have the approval of people from other states, nor do we care if his actions cause others to resent him. As long as he refrains from being corrupted by all that insidethebeltway filth, vermin, and MeMeMe attitude that’s in the Capitol building water fountains, and as long as he does what we sent him there to do, we’ll hoot and holler and send him dollars. :-)
H.R. 2300, Empowering Patients First Act of 2013, Introduced on Jun 06, 2013 by Rep. Tom Price [R-GA6] is the Republican answer to Ophonybamcare. There are 37 co-sponsors.

“..Ted, you are doing great, but lay off of healthcare until you have a competing proposal.”
That’s like saying don’t cut out cancer until you have something to replace it with.
We had the BEST HEALTHCARE ON PLANET EARTH, AND OBAMA REPLACED IT WITH A CANCER.
A “competing proposal” is our lowest priority, when what we had was great, and now it could be gone.
How’s this for a competing proposal? GTFO of our healthcare and personal lives, Big Government.
Turn back to pre-HMO care when our health care industry was the shining jewel of the world, and
even the Saudi princes came here for health care.
Free markets always do better than top-down, dictated markets. They’re always much less expensive
and place orders of magnitude fewer onerous restrictions on patient care. History is littered with the
bones of communism, and I do not wish to repeat it.
Government OUT OF OUR LIVES. They say it’s for our own good, but it is ONLY and EVER for
lining their own pockets from the sweat of OUR brows and for controlling us so as to continue the
pocket-lining until they kill us for being too “old and expensive to treat.”
FGS! Wake up!
